Key Responsibilities
Develop methods, tooling, and techniques to continuously reduce the time and effort involved in setting-up, changing over and operations of manufacturing equipment and document the changes
Modify manufacturing processes for safety improvement, quality improvement, cost reduction, ECN, or design changes.
Achieve financial objectives by assisting in the preparation of the budget, scheduling expenditures, managing budgets, and initiating corrective actions which is in line with ME Procedures
Manage & Support capital projects, including development of equipment specification, coordination of equipment runoffs, installation of equipment, and management of outside contractors.
Updates and maintains tooling’s and equipment drawings for production and equipment, including layouts.
Develop engineering solutions for repetitive equipment/process failures.
Review, recommend and coordinate TPM, PM, Proactive Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance Programs to prevent equipment failures
Manage Suppliers (Tooling’s / Equipment) involved in improvement.
Work closely with all levels of the organization to improve upon, troubleshoot, and maintain manufacturing machinery, Automations including Robots and process improvements.
Knows significant environmental aspects of the job and the related operational controls.
Compilation of process planning for a defined area and define the tooling requirements / manage initial supply of tooling for introduction of new products, and/or modifications to existing products
Assist in the definition of manufacturing facilities and equipment requirements
Responsible and accountable for the definition, implementation and reporting of key projects and/or continuous improvement programs, within a defined area
Cell related Production Issues.
Qualification and Skills
Graduate in Engineering (Mechanical or Automobile) with full time from reputed colleges
Preferred – Candidates with experience from – Brake, differential, axle, Driveshaft, shock absorber.
Non preferred – Rubber, Plastics, Glass, Mirror, casting & forging, sheet metal & OEM
Should have working Experience of 3-5 years, worked in Tier 1 of auto component industry, supplier to HMIL, FORD, Renault Nissan & Toyota (having machining, operations as core process)
Excellent MS office skills
Candidates having worked in Design
Exposure to INDUCTION HARDING process, turning centers, cylindrical grinder machines is must
PFD, PFMEA, Control Plan Fits & Dimension and Tolerance Knowledge.
