The role reports to the EVP – HR and will have 3 direct reports.
Job Purpose
To be a strategic HR partner for Primary Care Business Units including Marketing & Trade Channel teams in India with a revenue of INR 2500 Cr
( 250 mio GBP). Leading and advising the leaders and teams in major areas like people strategies, organization design, culture and capability building, talent management, employee engagement, etc and to enable, drive & govern GSK values, culture and ethos for a 2500 + employee base.
Key Responsibilities
Organization Design and People Strategies:
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the business.
Establish the right structure, design, capabilities in the Sales Structure
Partners with business/functions as thought leader to diagnose and design significant interventions in the business/function and aligns senior stakeholders
Leading teams in transformation initiatives towards improved operational performance, cost optimization and increased efficiencies.
To deliver high quality HR solutions across a range of HR activities in order to enable line managers and employees to deliver the business strategy .
Understand the HR Risk environment , identify and mitigate potential HR risks.
Focuses on organization change interventions and implements and leads OD interventions, as required
Talent Management & Succession Planning
Defines audience and approach; and builds leader capability and high performing teams through various internal and external benchmarked interventions
Facilitates identification of high potential employees for nominated development programs.
Utilizes, advocates and builds sponsorship for talent moves.
Enables the business to design and deploy the right talent strategy of build/buy/borrow etc. basis external/internal supply demand analysis, reviews and succession planning, managing hi-po talent, build vs. buy etc.
Employee Engagement, Culture and Capability Building:
Coach & support line leaders to deliver people initiatives
Partners with the teams to understand key themes emerging from culture surveys and to build an action plan.
Plans for sourcing and building the right capabilities to drive performance
Focuses on employee engagement activity and facilitates modern employer initiatives
In collaboration with other areas of HR, deliver the right customer experience in alignment with the HR Operating Model.
Promote global learning, leadership and coaching development opportunities with business leaders
I ndustrial Relations:
Liaison with registered unions in partnership with ER/IR head to ensure harmonious working relations between managers and teams
Bring long term changes in productivity and performance through leading dialogues in norms and wage settlements in partnership with ER/IR Head.
Resolve ER/IR issues and implement strategies to reduce such matters. Build line manager capability to create a positive employee environment.
Job Specifications
Qualifications – MBA in HR from a premier institute
Experience
12 to 15 years of experience working in a matrix organization with
multiple senior stakeholder management. Business partnering experience with a sales/commercial organization.
Experience of working in HR COEs (Talent Acquisition, Rewards, Training, L and OD, etc.) & handling of unionized workforce will be an added advantage.
