Job Description

1. Working knowledge of equipment like leakage tester for blister pack & container, Tensile strength and bond strength tester, Scuff proof tester, Bursting strength tester, Bursting strength tester, WVTR tester for plastic films etc.
2. Knowledge of packaging activities entailing analyzing & developing packaging components & structures like Plastic rigid, Paper labels, mono cartons, Corrugated Boxes, flexible etc. ensuring adherence to quality standards and smooth operations.
3.Adept to resolving technical issues through root cause analysis and providing technical support / data internally as well as externally.
4. To understand the concept of products / expectation for Packaging required for existing product, provide with ideas and options and convert them into feasible and implementable projects.
5. Compliance of all the rigid and printed packaging material to the quality aspects. Furnishing CQA and Location QA with all the documents / references for the final testing of the material at the location implement supplier quality assurance system and strengthen internal QA procedure through support.
6. Compliance of all the printed packaging material to the latest Legal aspects for country of origin and country of sale
7. Initial machine trials of new concepts, providing all the relevant inputs and documents and interacting regularly on the performances of the PM and the PM Vendor and to ensure that all PM material specification are such that they have zero operational issues.
8. Coordination with mould makers for new mould development followed by mould validation after conducting trial runs
9. Hand to hand new concept development and timely deliveries from Vendors. Coercing Technology update with the Vendor for better quality / efficiency
10.Updating with the latest trends, new capacities and developments with the Vendor for value addition/engineering in existing Packaging Material for improvisation in cost / shelf life / aesthetic appeal.
11. Good Knowledge of Injection and Blow Moulding Process and Moulds Printing Techniques Offset, Flexography and Rotogravure, Flexible Laminate etc.
12. Building relationships with supplier contacts while resolving payment, ordering, and supply issues.
13. Leveraging cross-functional contacts (e.g. accounts payable, material requirements and planning team, requisitioners, supply planners) to trouble-shoot and resolve urgent system error messages, forecast issues, blocked invoices, goods receipt/invoice receipt related to pricing, etc.
14. Improving and clarifying pricing/quoting processes.
15. Develop and implement regional sourcing strategies for Packaging categories
16. Monitor procurement reporting systems to meet company requirements
17. Vendor selection and negotiation process for regional vendors
18. Develop and utilize system to evaluate vendor quotations with the appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service
19.Solve operational issues with vendor’s quality.
20. Prepare and issue purchase contracts and change notice
21. Procurement of packing material
22. Import Sourcing of New Packaging Development product for exhibit batch.
23. Purchase Place Order ( PR to PO Conversion)
24. Vendor quote/comparison
25. Strong Follow up for Material Deliverance and Payment.
26. Maintaining Vendor notice track sheet
27. Execution/follow up for the vendor development documents
28. New vendor Development & Audit
Role:
1 To ensure that cGLP rules & guidelines are being followed in the lab.
2 To ensure that lab is being maintained properly and all the equipment/instruments assigned are kept clean, maintained on time.
3 To generate test report for samples and preparation of stability batches.
4 To prepare the SOP’s for the Instruments in the Lab.
5 To accomplish tests and analysis required to develop new packaging material
6 To conduct the initial trials and provide technical details to shop floor for new packaging materials.
7 To help in troubleshooting problems, coming from markets and also during production.
8 To prepare the technical directions, specifications, STPs, item codes & barcodes etc. for packaging materials.
9 To accomplish tests and provide physical & chemical properties of new packaging material under development to Material Management dept.or vendor for further improvement.
10 To ensure proper implementation of SOPs.
11 Completion of preparation for all documents & Artwork for Manufacturing location within deadline.
