Introduction:

GlobalFoundries is looking for a highly motivated Physical Verification Engineer on SOC Level to work in the Global Organization, based in Bangalore. The successful candidate will work with 100% quality and minimal cycle time in mind. This role requires a close working relationship and collaboration with internal teams, Process Design Kit (PDK), Field Application Engineering (FAE), IP Design Team, DRC Review Board (DRB) and etc. The roles and responsibilities will include productization, managing DFM, Floor Planning, Power planning, CTS, Routing in SOC Level

Your Job:  

• Understand the Design Manuals and release note of the DRC and DFM package. 

• Experience in usage of tools like ICC2, FUSION COMPILER, SYNOPSYS TOOLS.

• Establish automated DRC/DFM flows for foundry process and to build DFM knowledge database. 

• Skills in Perl, Tcl/TK, Python, PHP, mySQL, Linux sheel scripting, java, angular js, css

  Required Qualifications:  

• Master’s Degree (MS/MTech) plus min 5 years of Experience or Bachelor’s Degree plus 7 yrs of Experience with Specialization in Computer Engineering or Electrical (VLSI, Microelectronics and related) or other relevant Engineering

• Language Fluency – Proficiency in spoken and written English

  Preferred Qualifications:  

• Exposure to Semiconductor Process or Layout Design Engineering or Optical Proximity Correction 

• Familiar with EDA Physical Verification tools from Mentor Graphics, Cadence, Synopsys. 

• Scripting skills in Perl, Tcl/Tk and Linux shell. 

• Knowledge of database (mySQL or similar) and Python. 

• Exceptional Spoken and Written Proficiency in English 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

• Strong ability to learn and explore new technologies, opportunities, and continuous improvement  

• Should be flexible as a Team Player and motivated as an Individual Contributor  

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint 

• Ability to interact effectively with both external and internal customers at all levels and from various cultural backgrounds
