Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors for packaging materials tailored to pet food SKUs (wet, dry, and treats), for both existing and pipeline products.

• Develop and execute category-specific sourcing strategies that drive cost optimization, enhance supply reliability, and support innovation in pet food packaging.

• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms, including pricing, quality, and delivery schedules.

• Manage raw material imports for cat food products, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with all regulatory norms, including customs clearance and duty structures.

• Collaborate with Marketing, R&D, Innovation, and Category teams to understand business needs and translate them into sourcing strategies.

• Conduct global and local market intelligence to uncover sourcing opportunities and bring in supplier-driven innovation relevant to pet nutrition and packaging.

• Monitor and analyze procurement performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory management and streamline procurement processes.

• Lead cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality and service levels.

• Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to address import-related challenges and minimize supply chain

disruptions.

Who are we looking for?

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree with 4-5 years of relevant experience in Sourcing and procurement function.

Having exposure in NPD projects is a plus.

Skills:

• Strong negotiation and analytical skills with a track record of achieving cost optimisations and supplier partnerships.

• Experience of working with cross-functional teams.

• Knowledge of procurement best practices, supplier evaluation, and risk management.

• Proficiency in procurement tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Ariba).

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
