Promote the profile of the school as a whole to external audiences via social media platforms, LinkedIn, and other marketing avenues
Communicate the strengths of the academic faculty and important facilities.
Help in attracting new students across the school’s portfolio of programmes.
Understand Content Marketing and how that translates to the organization’s communication plan.
Create a communication platform for parents, alumni and new prospective parents to interact with the school.
To research and stay updated with the latest marketing trends to constantly increase the online and social presence of the organization and create brand awareness.
To curate the School’s publications
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with internal and external marketing, admissions and leadership teams.
Interact with and reach out to parents, staff, students, and various head of departments of the school as per the requirements of the external marketing team.
Create and curate written content for after school activities and special school events that may be held outside regular school hours.
Plan ahead to ensure that the upcoming events at the school are promoted proactively through various marketing channels.
Regularly monitor competitor performance to support the school’s development plan and marketing initiatives.
Work with the Digital Marketing Specialist to manage written content social media (Communication) and respond to comments and the day-to-day online operations relating to the events and programs conducted in the school.
Facebook & Instagram – Content Writing
Weekly highlights on major and noteworthy events in school
Live Stream of events in coordination with the school calendar
Pictures and short videos of events and on a daily and weekly basis
Showcasing the Infrastructure and new development on campus
Projecting the importance of Extra-Curricular activities on campus
YouTube – Content Writing
Profile of old shepherdians and their careers
Video on detailed overview of residential life
Music and Arts overview with the available infrastructure
Nutrition and health overview showcasing the facilities on campus
Capture experience of Teacher and Students
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Mass Communications, Journalism, or Advertising with equivalent training.
Native or near native English speaker.
Excellent written communication skills are a must – please be prepared to submit written work from university or previous work experience in this field.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse community.
Familiarity with social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
Abreast of the latest social media best practices and technologies
Comfortable in front of and behind a camera.
Strong analytical, problem solving, time management and organizational skills.
Must be willing to work irregular hours, on tight deadlines and on weekends, when required.
This is a full-time, residential position so interested candidates must be willing to live on the school campus during the academic terms.
