Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 4 years of experience as a software developer.

• Experience in building Machine Learning (ML) solutions.

• Experience coding in one or more languages (e.g., Python, Scala, Java, Go, or similar) and in data structures, algorithms, and software design.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience working with recommendation engines, data pipelines, or distributed machine learning.

• Experience applying professional software engineering practices for the full system development lifecycle (e.g., coding standards and reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations).

• Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., Torch, Caffe, Theano).

• Understanding of the auxiliary practical concerns in production Machine Learning systems.

• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

As an Application Engineer focusing on AI tools, you will design and implement applications and tools to provide machine learning solutions that assist teams working with our customers.You will leverage core Google products including TensorFlow, DataFlow, and Vertex AI and work with users and stakeholders across our organization to identify opportunities and transform our business with machine learning.

• Be a trusted technical advisor to customers and solve machine learning issues.

• Develop solution architectures, integration strategies, platforms, application development and modernization approaches required to deploy complete business solutions.

• Work with internal technical leads, cloud executives, and partners to manage and deliver implementations of cloud solutions.

• Mentor stakeholders on the practical issues in machine learning systems, including feature extraction, feature definition, data validation, monitoring, and management of features or models.
