Google Hiring for Software Engineering Manager, Assistant Query Understanding at Bengaluru, India Full Time

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

• 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).

• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Machine Learning, AI Platform, Distributed Systems, Infrastructure Design, Data Analysis.

• Experience fine-tuning large language models.

• Experience applying, productionizing, and integrating into live production systems.

• Lead a small and growing engineering team.

• Plan and scope project work for the team.

• Provide technical guidance and management for the team.

• Source, prepare, and generate training and evaluate data to train and assess the model quality, integrate the model with the rest of NLP stack, and build and improve the classifications and LLM models for assistant.

• Collaborate with other teams and members across the Assistant NLP organization.
