Minimum qualifications:

• 8 years of experience in project/program management.

• Experience in software development.

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience with SAP technical depth including architecture, applications, and implementations.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You’re equally comfortable explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Technical Program Manager, you lead multi-disciplinary projects. You will plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project life cycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your projects often span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it’s your job to keep everyone coordinated on the project’s progress and deadlines.

• Work closely with Engineering, Product Management, and other cross-functional partners to define requirements, schedule, resources, and milestones.

• Utilize technical judgment to support Engineering, resolve small technical bugs, setup configurations, build dashboards/tools to support Engineers, and maintain the infrastructure.

• Facilitate team discussions, drive issues to resolution, help identify risks and mitigations.

• Define and document program management processes. Create dashboards, scripts, and tools to improve the software development process.

• Manage bug filing/tracking, run effective team meetings, implement project management tools/processes, and communication models.
