Google Hiring for Technical Program Manager, Vendor Delivery Management at Mumbai, India Full Time

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Vendor Delivery Management, or equivalent practical experience.

• 5 years of experience in the delivery of telecommunications fiber, space/power, capacity infrastructure.

• Experience in project management, carrier relations/vendor management.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in managing the delivery, build or implementation of dark fiber and metro fiber plants.

• Understanding of network infrastructure and Layer 1-3 network services and technologies, including dark fiber, DWDM, Ethernet, and IP.

• Understanding of interconnectivity requirements within carrier hotels including physical interfaces, cable types, connector types and riser details.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.

• Assist Upstream Planning, Design and Acquisition teams in developing infrastructure requirements, priorities, and delivery date expectations.

• Manage the delivery of network infrastructure projects involving leased waves, submarine capacity, outside plant fiber, bulk fiber connectivity. Ensure facilities are delivered on schedule and meet technical specifications.

• Serve as APAC regional vendor contact for network delivery projects. Escalate up vendor management chains as necessary if delivery timelines are at risk.

• Lead project status meetings while keeping downstream teams aware of project and delivery status.

• Ensure quality documentation from vendor handover artifacts, (e.g., Completion notification, test results, and technical drawings).
