Preferred qualifications:
10 years of experience implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting Unix/Linux operating systems

Experience in configuration management tools and automation efforts with technical troubleshooting and performance tuning experience

Experience with enterprise or data center network architecture

Experience with physical deployment and troubleshooting of networking infrastructure

Experience with common hardware platforms, including High Potential Expansion, Cisco, and Netapp

Understanding of cloud technologies and enterprise compute environment with virtualization and cloud hosting experience

About the job

In this role, you will run a team of program managers that defines and continuously improves the processes and workflows related to our Google Distributed Google Cloud Hosted Operations. You will have to define all compliance procedures, Incident Management procedures, and escalation procedures. You will build and maintain a training program for our onsite team. In partnership with the global Infrastructure Operations team, your team will help oversee the timelines, requirements gathering, and planning for tooling, automation, monitoring, logging, and alerting systems that will allow our onsite team to operate our Google Distributed Google Cloud Hosted deployments.

You will engage with the customer enablement team to facilitate Monthly Business Reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews, support offering entitlements, and root cause summaries for our customers. You will ensure proper physical and digital security of our operations, organize the definition, testing of engagement, and disaster recovery routines.

Responsibilities

Build and lead a high performing team of program managers that will create and maintain procedures, policies, and tooling for our Google Distributed Google Cloud Hosted Support and Operations.

Collaborate closely with our back-line teams (e.g., Infrastructure Operations, Partner Reliability Engineering) to gather requirements and ensure the implementation of tooling, automation, monitoring, logging, and alerting systems that serve as the foundation of our operations.

Build and maintain a training program for existing and on-boarded staff. Training will cover technical knowledge, procedures, policies, and overall expectations.

Ensure proper physical and digital security of our operations, by defining best practices, organizing testing, and disaster recovery.

Enable our team to understand and abide by all local Government compliance regulations.
