Your Day to Day

We are looking for a talented Senior Cloud Engineer who will help support our industry-leading communications and collaboration products. This role aligns with our Global Infrastructure Services business unit and is part of a team of Cloud and Infrastructure engineers focused on helping our customers achieve their business goals by maintaining the uptime and reliability of our GoTo products.

For this position, the engineer is responsible for the development and maintenance of core services such as DNS, mail servers, certificate management, and Linux lifecycle management and patching. This includes deployment, automation, event monitoring, and second-level support for the platforms, including participation in on-call rotation support. Collaboration with other teams within GoTo will be critical to the success of this role.

The ideal candidate is someone with a strong background in DevOps, system administration and cloud technologies. The candidate must be highly motivated, possess outstanding communication skills and be willing to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and growing environment. The individual draws on his or her experience when analyzing data, evaluating workflow processes and working with various operational toolsets.

• Build, test, deploy, and manage various core services with build automation (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)

• Utilize code repository and CI/CD for core service administration

• Configure and troubleshoot basic VM networking (data network, host, VLANs, etc.)

• Monitor core service health and tune maximum system availability and service quality

• Perform core service patching & upgrades

• Maintain documentation regarding configurations, operations and troubleshooting procedures

• Assist in evaluating new requirements, technical design and standards

• Support user’s query and service requests

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science / related studies or 5+ years experience in Linux Systems Administration or DevOps

• Proficient in Linux and networks administration/troubleshooting

• Experience with RHEL & CentOS Linux operating systems

• Experience with deploying services in public cloud such as AWS or OCI .

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (preferably Terraform)

• Expertise in configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Puppet)

• Scripting in Python or Shell

• Understanding of distributed version control systems such as GIT,

• Experience packaging and deploying applications via containers

• Working Experience with Monitoring and dashboarding tools; Logicmonitor, Wavefront, CloudWatch

Optional Qualifications – What would make you stand out:

• Experienced with OpenStack platform

• Experience with cloud Kubernetes platforms (EKS, AKS, GCP)

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

• RHCSA certification (EX200)
