GL ACCOUNTANT

GP Strategies are now looking for Accountant to join the team. As Accountant/Sr.Accountant you will be responsible for planning, developing and managing the logistical implementation, organisation and delivery of a new Executive Leadership Development programme. Working with business partners and stakeholders you’ll ensure customer satisfaction and successful delivery of the programme to the required audience population.

About the role

As part of your role, you will also be responsible for:

• Responsible for processing adjustments provided by the business. These adjustments include standard journal entry accruals, upload of cost adjustments and project miscellaneous transactions.
• Must be able to handle complex accounting troubleshooting and Interface with finance, accounting and operation personnel when accounting errors are presented. Should be familiar with chart of accounts and posting using accounting knowledge at advanced level.

• Preferred skills but not a must include Scheduling and monitoring of daily global processes for finance
• Prepare balance sheet schedule/ Trial balance
• Review and correct common processing exceptions from the accounting Global processes on a weekly basis
• Assist in the monthly subledger close process
• Must have 5-10 years of relative work experience in an accounting or finance role
• Must have a keen attention to detail for accuracy and troubleshooting complex situations, if needed.
• B.com or Accounting graduate / postgraduate / CA Inter / Cost Accountant Intermediate
• Responds to support queries within the defined Service Level Agreements (SLA) from internal / External resources
• Must be flexible to work in shifts and provide coverage on rotational basis on holidays (limited)
• Should have worked in a ERP process environment with working knowledge of email communication to support internal business stakeholders
• Willingness to work in a team is a must.

What we need

An experienced Accountant with previous experience of programme rollout within a Global organisation.

• Fluency in English (verbal and written).
• Broad knowledge of learning interventions, specifically Leadership Development.

• Working closely with process owners, stakeholders, and business partners with regards to planning and dealing with issues, risks, and challenges for our customers.
• Management of gathering and analysing information via reports and other key performance measures to provide business decision support for suggested developments and implementation
