Job Summary:

Grant Thornton Bharat LLP is seeking a highly experienced and result-oriented Associate Director in Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu each to drive business growth, lead client engagements, and oversee consulting project execution. The selected candidate will play a critical role in expanding the Business Consulting practice in South India, managing key client relationships, and delivering impactful solutions across multiple sectors.

This position requires a strong business development acumen, proven consulting expertise, and deep industry connections. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of working with private sector enterprises, industry leaders, and multinational corporations, engaging with C-level executives, investors, and key decision-makers. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong network in the private sector, with additional experience in working with government and public sector clients. The candidate should have experience in a Big 5 consulting firm.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: 10–15 years in Business Consulting, Strategy, or Management Consulting. Experience in Big 5 consulting firm is mandatory.
• Educational Background: MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification from a reputed institution.
• Industry Expertise: Proven experience in consulting engagements for large private sector enterprises, industry bodies, multinational corporations, and investor networks.
• Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of respective state’s corporate landscape, Government ecosystem, industrial clusters, and business regulatory framework.
• Networking & Relationship Management: Established connections with C-level executives, Government stakeholders, investors, and business leaders in Kerala/Karnataka/Tamil Nadu.
• Business Development Skills: Demonstrated ability to identify, pursue, and win consulting mandates through structured business development efforts.
• Leadership & Team Management: Experience in leading multi-disciplinary consulting teams and managing complex projects.
• Communication & Presentation Skills: Strong negotiation, public speaking, and executive presentation capabilities.
• Willingness to Travel: Ability to travel frequently across respective state’s and other locations for client meetings, business development, and consulting engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development & Growth Strategy

• Develop and execute a strategic growth plan to expand the Business Consulting practice in Kerala/Karnataka/Tamil Nadu and South India
• Identify new business opportunities, forge strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth, with a focus on private sector enterprises.
• Leverage existing networks within Kerala/Karnataka/Tamil Nadu’s corporate ecosystem and Government Departments to generate consulting mandates.
• Lead business development initiatives, including proposal development, pitch presentations, and strategic advisory solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative consulting offerings aligned with market needs.

2. Client Relationship Management

• Build and nurture long-term relationships with C-suite executives, investors, industry leaders, and senior decision-makers.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to private sector enterprises, providing strategic insights and tailored consulting solutions.
• Engage with large corporate houses, multinational corporations, high-growth startups, and business associations to position Grant Thornton Bharat LLP as a preferred consulting partner.
• Ensure exceptional client service by proactively addressing client needs, resolving challenges, and delivering high-quality consulting solutions.

3. Consulting Project Leadership & Delivery

• Oversee multiple consulting engagements, ensuring timely execution and high standards of quality.
• Provide strategic direction and mentorship to consulting teams in delivering impactful business transformation projects.
• Conduct industry research, policy analysis, and competitive assessments to provide data-driven insights for clients.
• Monitor emerging trends in business strategy, policy reforms, digital transformation, and industry best practices to enhance service offerings.

4. Thought Leadership & Market Positioning

• Represent Grant Thornton Bharat LLP at industry forums, business summits, and investment networking events to enhance brand visibility.
• Publish whitepapers, opinion pieces, and research reports on key economic and industry trends.
• Establish Grant Thornton Bharat LLP as a thought leader in business consulting, and Government Consulting particularly in Kerala/Karnataka/Tamil Nadu and South India.
