Required Work Experience : Safety officer
Degree : Associate of Science – AS | Associate of Arts and Sciences – AAS | Bachelor of Arts – BA
Required Knowledge
- Good interaction and research skills
- Must be able to perform at odd times and must be available to perform at any time
- Sound understanding of different protection precautions like flame safety
Required Skills : Injury Prevention, Health Advocacy, Safety Testing, Safety Management, Health and Safety Management System
Primary Responsibility
- Conducts job hazard analyses
- Establishes safety standards and policies as needed
- Watches out for the safety of all workers and works to protect them from entering hazardous situations
- Trains and carries out drills and exercises on how to manage emergency situations
- Reports to concerned authorities as requested or mandated by regulations
- Performs emergency response drills
- Conducts investigations of all accidents and near-misses
