• Purpose of the Position

The role involves creating guidelines and procedures for Planning & Logistics across our Griffith for India region, aiming to ensure uniform service quality and competitive positioning in the market. It entails implementing innovative solutions tailored to each operation, ensuring dependable customer service while maintaining optimal inventory levels and cost efficiency. Additionally, this position fosters cooperative relationships within the Planning & Logistics domain, with service providers, and offers guidance to suppliers and customers worldwide, aiding them in optimizing Planning & Logistics services.

• Major Duties & Responsibilities

Serve as a member of the leadership team developing and executing overall strategies and operating plans. Be a steward of the Griffith Purpose and Values in all external and internal actions and activities aligned with the business.

• Review and discussion of main drivers/KPI´s of Supply Chain regional, and local strategies execution. Adjust and coach as needed on local team execution.
• Assist in organizing the planning function (covering demand planning, S&OP process, scheduling, inventory control, procurement, etc.) and managing capacity planning and utilization using analytical models and tools. This involves assessing cost justifications, conducting evaluations, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Support timely execution of main capital projects for the region and high impact projects.
• Support addition of potential contract manufacturer and outside warehouse needs through evaluation and verification of requirements and contract renewals.
• Facilitate use/ upgrade of technology across key processes: Logility, EDI, ERP, S&OP, etc. to drive improvement and consistency.
• Possesses expert level understanding of Lean / Continuous Improvement principles and Tools and puts the same to practice.
• Would be responsible for the Health and Safety of employees on the Manufacturing premises.
• Analysis of data management of each unit in terms of demand, plant capacity, performance, safety, and quality to guarantee the match of our supply with customers’ demands of product and service.
• Would be responsible for meeting the Company’s “Planet” Sustainability goals.
• Interacts regularly with key customers on helping determine forecasts and ensure timely deliveries. Would lead and execute customer satisfaction surveys.
• Works with Supply Chain & Operational heads from other regions to share and adapt best manufacturing practices.
• Responsible for CAPEX budgeting and delivery of CAPEX projects on time and on budget.
• Analyze current deviation of budget and establish correction plans with the team.
• Responsible for the Talent Management of the plant staff.
• Liaises with Governmental Agencies for all production related matters.
• Responsibility of preparing annual Material budgets and delivery of the same.
• Meet committed OTIF by managing the S&OP process. Manages Internal & External customer expectations on delivery, Food Safety and Quality.
• Develops and executes Sustainability plans for Energy, Water and Land Fill reduction.
• Reduction and optimization of working capital by managing inventory at base levels through a robust S&OP process
• Measurable improvements in efficiencies using Lean Principles and Continuous improvement.

Talent Management Responsibilities

• Carries out Talent Management and supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Griffith Foods policies.
• Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; coaching and development planning, motivating, rewarding, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; interviewing, hiring, training, and retaining employees.
• Scope:
• Responsible for supporting Planning & Logistics function, including customer service, demand planning, scheduling, materials procurement, inventory control, contract manufacturing, transportation and outside warehouse contracts which includes contract management and compliance with our Supply Chain agreement food safety & security requirements.
• Problem Solving/Decision Making:
• Planning and validation of the company’s programs and compliance with legal standards regarding quality, food safety, safety, personnel, and productivity.
• Major capital investment decision for performance and legal compliance.
• Working Relationships:

Internal

• Reports to Managing Director- India doted line to VP Global Supply Chain.
• Geographic coverage – India
• Work Location – Bangalore
• Strong relationship required with other BD functions (Sales, R&D, Culinary, Marketing) , India leadership team and Global Supply Chain team.

External

• Relationships with customers, suppliers, Outside auditors, Vendors, Government Officials
• Qualification and Experience:
• Master of Business Administration, related disciplines
• 10 yrs. Min. of experience in Supply Chain & Manufacturing Operations
• Ability to travel 20% +
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Strong and proven organization and communications skills. Ability to think creatively to solve complex problems.
• Proven record of developing/improving sales infrastructure and processes.
• Strong financial analytic skills with proven ability to develop plans to meet targeted goals.
• Influencing and negotiating – through building and nurturing relationships
• Accountable for ensuring successors for key positions. Identifies skills gaps and creates targeted developmental plans
• Demonstrated experience that emphasizes collaborative decision making and a high degree of coordination between functions.
