We are looking for a Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET) to help us with Our Advertising and Sponsored Tech Products. In Groupon’s Marketplace, we empower merchants with software to help them promote and advertise their products and attract the right customers. You’ll be helping to test, launch and support the products and services to build great supply and seamless experiences. Leveraging your testing skills and QA experience, being a part of the team that builds things that help local businesses around the world thrive. As a founding QA member of the team you will get opportunities to define the test strategies and create roadmap for not only Ad Tech Team but overall Marketing Engineering

You’ll spend time on the following:

• You’ll help research and establish best practices and processes in the QA team
• You’ll strategize, plan, and execute testing for high impact new features
• You’ll build automation for new features
• You’ll develop test frameworks and expand testing tools for both front-end and back-end testing
• You’ll be able to collaborate with teams and engineers around the world, embracing diversity in your working environment.

We’re excited about you if you have:

• BS, MS or PhD in Computer Sciences or related fields with 4+ years of relevant QA experience
• Experience working on applications, sites, systems in both UI and API testing.
• Development experience working with Java or Python
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Great problem solving skills and an ability to find alternative ways of doing things
