Job Profile

As a Senior Application Engineer, you will use your technical skills to identify and provide dependable solutions for our diverse customer base. The Senior Application Engineer is the first line of support for our product line for pre and post sales, and is responsible for providing complete customer satisfaction regarding the use and implementation of our superior CAM software solutions.

Duties / Responsibilities

Support Hexagon Production Software (HPS) sales team in India & SAARC both Direct and Indirect business opportunities

Provide pre- and post-sale technical support to bring the business opportunities for the product line to fruition

Develop & Deliver Post processor for respective machines which are in line with the sales orders

Develop custom CAM solutions as per industry needs to achieve product reach and success in the market

Support to build strong pipeline with new prospects, follow-up for the effective product positioning and convert them into sales opportunity

Connect and support Machine Tool and Cutting Tool OEMs, and Resellers to promote our product line

Support engagements in Key Accounts, ensure healthy relationships with Customers and Channel Partners

Work closely and collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as sales, Business Development, Marketing and Support, as well as Strategic Partners / Vendors / Solution providers to deliver customer success and realized value to drive business growth for MI

Build and sustain collaborative working relationships with counterparts in other regions to get and offer right solution and demand for the product in the market

Responsible for staying abreast of product roadmap as well as understanding the scenarios, features and functions within each of the products

Liaison with customers, Sales and Marketing organizations and Channel Partners and provide feedback about features, gaps, competitive analysis and other related information

Attendance at conferences and working with Subject Matter Experts, and research to stay on top of changes in business and technology

Education

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related from a reputed institution

Excellent understanding of and experience in CAM software applications and working directly with Machine Tools, especially with EDGECAM, ESPRIT, HyperMill or Mastercam

Experience

6-8 years minimum experience in Machine Shop as Programmer and Machine Setter

CAD/CAM Experience, CAM experience in Milling & Lathing

Minimum 2 years of shop floor experience and handling CNC Machine Tool

Basic knowledge of coding to develop Post Processor

Experience with CNC machining, part programming and knowledge of the manufacturing industry is a plus

Good knowledge of industry standards, processes and tools, including manufacturing techniques

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Desired

Operational knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, and/or Heidenhain controllers

Ability to understand and capture business requirements, processes and problems

Excellent interpersonal relationship building and team-engagement skills

Excellent analytical, verbal, written and communication skills, and able to communicate technical and business information to widely varied audiences

Excellent problem-solving skills, and demonstrated ability to handle complex challenges even under pressure

Extremely motivated and a team player

Strong technical knowhow and abilities

Ready to travel 60% of the working days
