Job Description

Overview:
The piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) is the detailed drawing of the process roadmap in an industrial facility. It shows the interconnection of process equipment and the instrumentation used to control those related processes. The documents are developed, accessed, shared and modified throughout the plant lifecycle from design to operation.

The best P&ID software focuses on a task-based approach. Connecting tasks between engineering, construction and operations is crucial to improving deliverables. Hexagon PPM makes data and information sharing a cornerstone of its products, so all engineering information is kept up-to-date to accurately reflecting the as-built plant. This enables other disciplines to base their design decisions on information from the latest digital P&IDs.

Intergraph Smart® P&ID software develops and manages your piping and instrumentation diagrams, focusing on design quality and consistency in the context of the plant asset. Responsibilities:

• Meeting with stakeholders across products and customers to understand the integration use cases and drive the product features
• Perform the role of a subject matter expert
• Gathering and analyzing technical specifications
• Managing product backlog, user stories and cross-product dependencies by identifying, defining, analyzing, prioritizing and refining the requirements, and communicating those requirements to the development team.
• Developing basic wireframes and interaction flows
• Engaging and communicating with customers and stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle and manage their expectations
• Manage continuous delivery of product and features using DevOps culture
• Manage highly visible projects with Agile project management principles and practices
• Understanding long-term product vision and roadmap, translating that into User Stories for the team
• Participating in agile activities including product demonstrations, retrospectives, backlog grooming and sprint planning
• Responsible for Project Performance Monitoring & Reporting of Project status to the stakeholders
• Assisting / Updating Executive management with detailed plans / status for controlled advertising, promotion(s) and sales aids
• Acting as point of reference for all product related inquiries

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)with 8 to 12 years of overall experience with atleast 5 years of experience in Pipe stress analysis or related work.
• Working experience on SPID and experience in integrating with enterprise solutions
• Working knowledge on Smart3D, SPF, SDx, SPEL or SPI is a plus
• Experience in a product owner, product/project management, or similar role is a plus
• An understanding of Agile requirements gathering and documentation

Skills Required:
Essential Skills:

• Exposure to Hexagon PPM’s products or that of competitors in the segment.
• Awareness about Software Development life cycle and proficiency in Agile Scrum product development methodologies.
• Domain expertise in integration of data amongst Engineering modeling/ Design software.
• Good Communication skills (written and Oral).
• Good attitude and analytical skills

Highly Desirable skills:

• Experience in Hexagon PPM’s Smart3D, SPF, SDx, SPEL, SPID or SPI is a plus.
• Experience in product/project management as a product owner is a plus.
