BlackLinexc2xafSaaS is the system of interaction for finance and accounting teams and it integrates with numerous ERPs, CRMs, Payment systems, Point of Sale systems and other applications.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high quality releases to our customers by designing, developing, troubleshooting, maintaining, optimizing, and scaling BlackLines cloud-based backend services and driving innovation into our product suite. In this role, you will research, test, benchmark and evaluate new technologies, propose scaling solutions, collaborate with other teams to define, and build new features, optimize existing features while writing elegant code, coaching, and mentoring less experienced software engineers and communicating with people at all levels. Your attention to detail, tenacity, creative problem-solving and thinking ahead will directly impact the company’s success, as well as the success of your peers across the organization.

• xe2x80x8bxe2x80x8bProvide technical expertise in the design, development, and delivery of BlackLines products, while adhering to timelines, coding standards, requirements, and quality.

• xe2x80x8bDesign, develop, test, troubleshoot, debug, optimize, scale, maintain and improve software applications, driving the delivery of high-quality value and features to BlackLines customers. Develop functional and technical specifications, and test plans. Review others code. Develop and document functional and technical requirements. Collaborate with other team members and other teams on all the above.

• xe2x80x8bDesign and follow coding standards, architectural plans, solve complex design and architectural problems, create robust architectural solutions.

• xe2x80x8bImplement, refine, and enforce software development techniques to ensure that delivered features meet software integration, performance, security, and maintainability expectations.

• xe2x80x8bMaintain high standards of software quality and technical excellence within the team by establishing good practices and habits and writing clean, testable, maintainable, and secure code.

• xe2x80x8bProactively identify issues, bottlenecks, gaps, or other areas of concern or opportunity and work to either directly affect change, or advocate for that change by collaborating with peers and leadership to build consensus and act.

What You’ll Bring::

• xe2x80x8bxe2x80x8bBS degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

• xe2x80x8b5+ years of experience as Python developer

• xe2x80x8bStrong proficiency in Python programming and frameworks like Django, Flask, and/or Fast API

• xe2x80x8b5+ years of experience with front-end technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JavaScript Frameworks, Angular, React, testing frameworks like Jasmin, Karma, react testing library, Jest etc.).

• xe2x80x8bExperience in latest versions of Angular, Angular CLI, Typescript, Es6. CSS preprocessors, state management and built tools.

• xe2x80x8bExperience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).

• xe2x80x8bExperience in python ecosystem tools including not limited to PySpark, Pandas, and Polars.

• xe2x80x8b8+ years of hands-on experience in building Web Applications, SaaS products, and RESTful APIs.

• xe2x80x8bA solid computer science foundation including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns, with a proven track record of writing high concurrency, multi-threaded, secure, scalable code.

• xe2x80x8bProven experience in working with one or more services such as API gateway, identity management, authentication, messaging (Kafka or RabbitMQ), workflow orchestration, job scheduling and search.

• xe2x80x8bExperience with front-end technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JavaScript Frameworks, Angular, React, Testing frameworks like Jasmin, Karma, react testing library, Jest etc.) is a plus.

• xe2x80x8bExperience with technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS) is a plus.

• xe2x80x8b Experience as a technical lead for design, architecture and code review of highly scalable distributed systems and event driven architecture.

• xe2x80x8b Superior analytical, problem-solving and system level performance analysis abilities.

• xe2x80x8b Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• xe2x80x8bAdaptable team player with strong collaboration skills and a focus on results and value delivery.
