Education: Required Diploma or Degree in Metallurgy/Mechanical. Candidates must be strictly from Heat treatment industry

Work Experience: Must have 10-15 years experience in Heat treatment.

Key Skills: Shopfloor Management,Knowledge about Heat treatment processses ,gas fired bogie furnaces,ISO documentation,QMS,Production,Process control,Audits ,HT Cycle development,Preventive Maintenance,Production Planning control & inventory.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1)Should be able to handle heat treatment furnaces ,production planning execution,Inspection,dispatch independently.

2) Sound knowledge of various heat treatment processes and different grades of material metallurgy.

3)Ensure adherence to QMS. Must be familiar with various national ,international standards.

4)Can independently decide heat treatment cycle for new material grade & choose among quenchants like Polymer ,oil,water to achieve desired mechanical properties.

5) Establishing process control, control plan & taking corrective preventive measures for non-conformities .

6) Identify & coordinate furnace related maintenance activities.

7)Checking & operating knowledge of Rockwell,Brinell & Vickers hardness tester.

8)Maintain calibration record of hardness testers,Heat treatment furnaces & temperature monitoring/measuring instruments.

9)Conducting Internal Audit & facing external audit by customers, TPI etc.Preparing & maintaining ISO documents,SOP,Control plan etc.

10) To resolve customer complaints and implement CAPA to avoid re-occurence in future.
