Job Description

• Experience in stakeholder engagement, public affairs, corporate affairs, policy influencing/advocacy, program management and sustainability. This should include significant experience in working with others to drive business goals and impact at an industry level.
• Experience in dealing with senior levels of Government to resolve issues and influence change. This could include a mix of working directly and through relevant platforms and forums. The candidate should also have a basic understanding of how Government works and the broad regulatory framework.
• Experience in working with industry/ private sector/ business stakeholders. Either within a multinational or in the development sector. The ideal candidate will be skillful in leveraging our business connections with relevant stakeholders to influence local authorities and decision makers who have an impact on our sourcing landscape.
• Expertise in labor & environment standards (Local & International) and should be strong at Stakeholder Engagement & Public Affairs.
• Has strong communication and crisis management skills. Has experience in handling media engagements during times of crisis.
• Strong analytical skills. Has the knowledge and ability to put in place clear strategies to drive Public Affairs work. Is curious to know more and understands the importance of evidence and data. This should include mitigate & handle potential risks that may hinder company strategies and goals.
• Experience of working in a matrix organization with a range of internal stakeholders in numerous offices and countries.
• Capable of representing the company in bigger forums to drive positive change towards the industry by actively engaging with internal & external stakeholders
• Strong leadership experience in leading team as well as influencing internal & external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s/Masters degree or equivalent in business or a departmentally related field.
• 15 plus years of experience in stakeholder engagement, public affairs, corporate affairs, policy influencing/advocacy, program management and sustainability. This should include significant experience in working with others to drive business goals and impact at an industry level.
