The position of Lead Software Architect is responsible for working with Honeywell Software Engineering teams in an Agile environment to coordinate architecture, design, develop (writing code), lead and/or maintain our key products in the Industrial markets. Responsibility
Leads and participates in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities related to the design, development and maintenance of Industrial products
Partner with other HCE teams to ensure correct technology decisions are made in line with the broader Forge Platform
Improve speed to market and application quality by utilizing testing best practices, release automation, component releases and release strategies.
Be a technology evangelist that supports other team members to embracing and implementing technology to improve the application.
Lead and recommend architecture strategies, processes and methodologies
Develop cloud adoption plans, application design, and deployment mechanisms
Collaborates with all relevant parties to review the objectives and constraints of each solution and resolve conformance with the future architecture. Recommends the most suitable technical architecture and defines the solution at a high level
Identifies and recommends areas appropriate for further study and participates in any Proof of Concept projects required to thoroughly investigate architectural possibilities and strengthen arguments for their adoption
Identifies implementation risks and analyses potential impact on the enterprise and on the achievement of scheduled objectives
Recommends and participates in the design and implementation of standards, tools and methodologies. ‘Q1AOP2021’ You Must Have
BTech/BE in Computer Science/Engineering or MCA
15+ years of relevant experience
Good knowledge in SOLID design principles & architecture/design patterns.
Good working knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Processes
Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Java, C++, SQL & C#
Good understanding of Advanced Process Control
Proficiency in cross-platform frameworks like .NET Core, NodeJS
Proficiency in Networking, Protocols: TCP/IP, IP addresses, HTTP, DNS
Good understanding Security concepts
Proficiency in database technologies
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes or Openshift and related container platform ecosystems
Proficiency in any one of Cloud technologies: Azure, AWS
Should have Designed/Implemented, Deployed and Managed the Cloud solution by using any of the Cloud technologies, preferably using Cloud agnostic technologies.
Experience with Honeywell Forge Platform is good to have, but not mandatory
Experience working in an agile environment with full stack teams.
Experience working in a fast-paced technology environment focused on delivering world class products within an agile methodology utilizing latest technology frameworks.
Solid understanding of release strategies that minimize or eliminate application downtime
Technologist that keeps up on the latest technology, best practices and continues to learn and apply those learning’s to the Honeywell environment
Team player that puts team first, willing to make the difficult decision and have the difficult conversation while providing clear technical recommendations to leadership that is best for the long term.
Demonstrated ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships across disciplines and across the organization
Ability to communicate risk, reward, and complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
We Value
Good working knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Practices
Experience with test driven development and Microservices architecture.
Knowledgeable in common SCM practices, such as branching and code merges

Experience working within an Agile team
Understanding of Agile practices and ability to use tools such as Jira to enable the delivery of high quality code
