As Sr Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for driving supplier quality improvements impacting multiple programs & products globally. You will work as SQE to execute projects at suppliers, drive improvement projects and collaborate with the sourcing & engineering to program manage the projects. In addition, the candidate will coordinate with peers within and outside of the organization to improve processes and activities performed by the SQEs/ SDEs/ FQEs.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities.
1. Identify and provide a ‘way forward’ for specific issues involving quality escapes or delayed
2. Evaluation of new Suppliers as per Honeywell Aerospace standards
3. Ensure compliance to Aerospace Procedures & quality requirements for all regional projects
4. Perform all Field Quality Engineering functions at a limited/assigned number of suppliers for the purpose of testing the effectiveness of procedures and policy at controlling supplier quality
5. First Article reviews at regional suppliers as FQE.
6. Provide technical leadership to coordinate advanced quality processes including statistical based variation reduction, APQP
7. Drive regional performance improvement initiatives using DMAIC approach
8. Establishes improvement plans with supplier leadership to drive supplier performance.
9. Work cross-functionally with Procurement, Sourcing, Engineering, and Supplier to ensure project schedules are met avoiding supply delays due to Supplier.
10. Build a strong relationship with internal stakeholders (e.g., PP&C, Engineering, Materials, Procurement, Customer Team and Strategic Sourcing) to enable faster execution.
11. Develop short-, medium- and long-term productivity projects through deep dives and workshops to maintain a portfolio of projects to support needs of the business.
