As a Sr Gov Relations Specialist here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing the company’s government relations strategy. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with government officials, industry associations, and other stakeholders to advocate for Honeywell’s interests.

In this role, you will impact Honeywell’s reputation and relationships with government stakeholders. By effectively engaging with government officials, policymakers, and industry associations, you will shape the perception of Honeywell and its commitment to responsible business practices. Your ability to build and maintain relationships will contribute to Honeywell’s influence in policy discussions and decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with government officials, industry associations, and other stakeholders
• Advocate for Honeywells positions on legislative and regulatory issues through effective communication and engagement
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and analyze their impact on the companys operations and business objectives
• Develop strategies to address potential challenges and leverage opportunities arising from government policies and regulations
• Represent Honeywell in industry forums, conferences, and events to promote the companys interests and enhance its reputation
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to align government relations efforts with business objectives and provide strategic advice on policy matters
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and reporting requirements
• Lead a team of Government Relations Specialists

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

• 10+ years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of government processes, policies, and regulations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.

• Master’s Degree, MA/MBA in Political science or Economics, public administration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of industry and regulatory landscape.
• Experience in a corporate government relations role, preferably in the technology or manufacturing sector.
