IBM Hiring for Application Architect – Microservices at Bangalore, India Full Time

Introduction

As an IBM Application Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this role is to provide consultation and technical direction on translating business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs. This includes facilitating the implementation and maintenance of complex business and enterprise software solutions to ensure successful deployment of released applications. This role serves as a technical expert for project teams throughout the implementation and maintenance of business and enterprise software solutions. In addition, this role personally develops and delivers code modules, stable application systems, and integrated enterprise software solutions within various computing environments.

As Architect you will be working along with various other consultants in a co-working model

• Experience: 6 – 10 year’s

• 6+ years of experience with handing end-to-end development

• Hands-on expert who can code, architect/design systems and understand building highly available and scalable micro services on cloud infrastructure.

• Very good understanding of Containers and Container Orchestration Technology such as Docker / Kubernetes and Cloud Platforms exposure like AWS, Azure, GCP.

• Should have experience working hands-on with Java/J2EE, SpringBoot, Service registry, Container architecture, Kafka, Distributed caching, No SQL DB like Cassandra, Couchbase DB Mongo DB, PostgreSQL.

• Strong understanding of Rest APIs, Integration, NoSQL and RDBMS, Distributed Messaging, Security, Cloud Infrastructure, Performance and Scalability Profiling, CI/CD.

What you’ll do:

• Participate in BIG ROOM planning

• Execute PoCs

• Understand the nuances of new design patterns and be a mentor and guide to a wider audience to ensure the right implementation

• As an individual contributor in leading pilots

• Participate in performance releases and guide the team in fixing performance issues and ensure NFRs are validated

• Kafka/IBM MQ/Rabbit MQ – 1-2 Year’s

• Any cloud knowledge is required.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Retail Industry or Ecommerce online system design experience, Cloud experience.
