What You’ll do..
The Digital Build Team in the IBM Cloud and Cognitive Software division is a team of elite technologists responsible for delivering a world class digital platform that enables Build Partners – Independent Software Vendors (ISV) and Global System Integrator (GSI) partners through the cloud transformation that is right for them based on industry trends and emerging technologies based on Red Hat Open Shift, Cloud Paks, and IBM Cloud. The outcome of this enables Build Partners to realize an unparalleled IBM experience and increased market opportunity.
IBM Cloud is an enterprise-grade environment based on leading open source technologies in Hybrid Cloud (Kubernetes), Serverless (Knative), Data (Spark) and AI (AIF360, TensorFlow). IBM Cloud offers a full-stack hybrid multicloud platform that spans public, private, and traditional environments with over 170 products and services covering Data, Serverless, Containers, Red Hat OpenShift, AI, IoT and Blockchain.

Role Specific details:

• As an Architect, you will –
• Understand product vision and define product architectural solutions.
• Analyze requirements, design develop & maintain software products in alignment with the technology strategy of the organization
• Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards
• Communicate successfully all concepts and guidelines to development team
• Oversee progress of development team to ensure consistency with initial design
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers
• Ensure software meets all requirements of compliance, quality, security, extensibility etc.
• Work with Offering Manager in planning and execution of new product releases
• Produce prototypes to illustrate technology options and mitigate risks
• Contribute to development plan by providing task estimates.
• Proactively identify issues and improvement opportunities.
• Directing resources to diagnose and resolve complex system, application software, security and related problems that impact system and availability.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• More than 15 + experience on Software Industry,7 + years in Architecture profession
• Hands-on experience on Open Source Technologies
• Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture
• Understanding of software quality assurance principles
• A technical mindset with great attention to detail
• High quality organizational and leadership skills
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
• Understanding of Dev-Ops and Cloud environment
• Knowledge on programming against cloud platforms
• Design by contracts & ensuring minimalistic designs
• Micro services architectures • Experience dealing with large data volume
• Experience building ML models
• An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent analytical and multitasking skills
• Having experience in following Scrum, Agile methodologies.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Knowledge about Redhat Openshift would be added advantage
