Introduction
IBM, an industry leader in Hybrid Cloud Software and Services is looking for an AWS Industry Solution Architect for Industrial to join our World-Wide Strategic Alliances team. This AWS Industry Solution Architect for Industrial will work with Ecosystem Labs Distinguish Engineers and Specialists within IBM Technology (including IBM Cloud & Cognitive Software & Red Hat) to perform joint development validation and pilots through partnerships between IBM and AWS.As a member of the team, it will be your responsibility to partner jointly with other specialists, enabling the IBM AWS alliance team to drive the adoption of IBM Software through the delivery of solutions, composable, patterns, and content on Amazon Web Services. This Solution Architect will work within our Ecosystem Labs to define, design, and build architectures and integrations to help enable IBM technology on AWS. Focus areas include developing software solutions with our IBM Cloud & Cognitive Software organization to help enable IBM software on AWS, ensuring Red Hat OpenShift is widely adopted in the market for AWS clients and leveraging our hybrid cloud platform and IBM consulting offerings. Your Role and Responsibilities
Are you interested in leading solution development for customers across industries, including automotive, manufacturing, energy, oil and gas, and telco?As an AWS Industry Solution Architect for Industrial for Ecosystem Labs, you will

• Design customer solutions with a focus on Automotive, Manufacturing, and Utilities industries collaborating with internal teams to help customers adopt and migrate IBM Software on the AWS cloud.
• Engage with client account, business partner, and customer to define and influence industry hybrid cloud patterns.
• Collaborate with executives and technologists to develop and accelerate industry solution adoption on AWS.
• Design and build long-term industry cloud blueprints, credentials, field, and external content.
• Scale industry pattern adoption through methodologies for developing modular, composable, and sustainable assets.
• Solicit and capture feedback from Enterprise customers to influence industry aligned use-cases and solutions.
• Analyzing application portfolios, identifying dependencies & common infrastructure platform components, and assessing migration feasibility.
• Lead and scope technical engagement, with attention towards clear and well-defined objectives, success criteria, and timely delivery of value.
• Architect IBM Software and Red Hat Open Shift solutions leveraging AWS technology, including solution development and potentially demonstrate technical feasibility through mechanisms including proof-of-concepts and/or prototypes.
• Apply critical thinking, technical knowledge, customer/partner insights to solve problems with industry use-cases, compliance, accreditations, and certifications.
• Define, lead, and execute architecture design workshops and white-boarding sessions to build implementation plans.
• Team well and enable IBM, Red Hat, and AWS industry specialists and sellers to accelerate revenue growth.
• Consult as an industry subject matter expert on our IBM/AWS technology and services portfolio.
• Work in sandbox environments to demonstrate IBM Hybrid Cloud Capabilities with AWS.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, or related fields at time of application..
• 8+ Years: Distributed application and systems architecture design and implementation.
• 5+ Years: Industrial, Automotive, or Manufacturing experience required, Experience as an architect, designing and implementing large-scale solutions in the Industial sector
• 4+ Years: Engineering and/or technology experience (e.g., technology field, Services, Consultant, Specialist Team Unit, Technical Sales, system integrators, developer, project manager, sales), Enterprise technology breadth in most of the following areas: Software development; Infrastructure architecture; DevOps; Content distribution; Database architecture; IP Networking; IT Security; Serverless; Containers; Linux.
• 3+ Years: Design and implementation Solution architecture on Public Cloud (AWS/ Azure/ GCP/ IBM Cloud), Experience architecting industry solutions with data and analytics, customer engagement, container, distributed computing, IoT, and machine learning technologies.
• 2+ Years: Software programming experience with one of the following languages: Java/ Python/ Ruby/ JavaScript/ C/ C++/ C#/Go
• Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Masters, or Ph.D. in business, computer science, computer engineering, or related fields at time of application.
• Exposure to Smart Factory, Supply Chain Optimization, Robotics, Industry 4.0 is a plus
• Red Hat Open Shift offerings & technical architecture.
• IBM Hybrid Cloud Software and Capabilities.
• One or more of the following AWS Certifications: AWS Developer Associate, or AWS DevOps Engineering Professional
