Your Role and Responsibilities
Who You are
As a DevOps engineer in IBM’s App Platform organization you will be working on administration of the project Build, DevOps, Dev/QA servers spanning across the breadth of Mac OS, Linux and Windows operating systems on-prem, private and public paas. Responsibilities include managing the entire Build/Dev/DevOps infrastructure and the associated stakes including Android, iOS and WinMobile support; keeping the Build&DevOps pipelines working to support project’s continuous delivery model; Includes dealing with Mac, Linux machines. The team works in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment, so communication is key.

What You will do
As a DevOps Enginner, you will be working in fast-paced environment with remote office locations working closely with the product team managing the build and devops infrstructures. Working in an agile environment, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary squad working on maintaining MFP libraries, implementing and providing support for new versions or variations of mobile development environment..Your work will involve close collaboration with various component teams and cross-geo infra teams to resolve issues.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Minimum 4 to 8 years of relevant experience
• Good knowledge of Ci/CD Tools such as Jenkins, Travis and repository management tools such as Artifactory , Nexus
• Must be comfortable on System Administration on Linux, Windows and MacOS
• Good exposure to shell scripting languages (Shell, Python, Groovy)
• Good knowledge on Build tools such as Maven, Ant, NPM, Xcode, Andriod Studio, Visual Studio
• Knowledge onticketing tools like Jira, Git
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be comfortable working with a distributed team

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Good knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Must have worked in an Agile development environment
• Self-starter and quick learner and ability to work with minimal supervision.
