Your Role and Responsibilities
Within the IBM Global Business Services, we have a team focused on building differentiating assets and accelerators for hybrid cloud modernization and are seeking a Senior Application Modernization Architect to join our Global CTO team for Cloud Application Services. In this role, you will be leading a talented asset development squad and advising clients in adopting IBM’s hybrid cloud strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Scan the technology landscape and advise clients on emerging technology solutions to drive differentiation in services value proposition
• Collaborate with client engagement teams to lead solution design, project proposals, proof-of-concepts, and delivery of the solution implementation by infusing CAS assets and accelerators
• Evangelize assets and other cloud related best practices both internally and externally (clients, social, events, analysts)
• Ensure availability, reliability, and performance of OpenShift/Container Platform.
• Coordinate, escalate, resolve, and close any service request, incident, problem, and change management issues assigned to the team.
• Perform patching, software implementations, and upgrades to RedHat OpenShift technologies.
• Worked varied schedules including on-call responsibilities through a team rotation.
• Automation of operational tasks. Identify and contribute to automation activities. Implement automation that will support regular operational activities – patching, health checks, application operational tasks etc
• Provides technical expertise in the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines that guide the design of technology solutions including architecting and implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems, and applications across the enterprise.
• Good to have Platform Services Support –
• AWS, Azure
  IBM Internal Tools Platform Support Strong knowledge of Windows / Linux / UNIX
  Expertise in Virtualization, Networking, Infrastructure
  Experience with Virtual Network & Storage Service
  Experience with Backup, Site Recovery, and restore solutions
  Expertise on Automation, Monitoring/Alerting Products
  Certified in Cloud (Azure or AWS)

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Overall 12+ Years Linux, Windows, Networking or Storage expert
• Hands on experience in Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud products
• Administration experience of Red Hat OpenShift v4.x
• Strong DevOps/CI/CD process architecture/engineering
• Strong working knowledge of Prometheus and Grafana opensource monitoring solutions
• Strong understanding of load-balancing, DNS and networking expertise
• Solid understanding of Prometheus, Grafana; Splunk
• Experience with Red Hat DataGrid or Redis in-memory data store
• Familiarity with scripting, NFS/SAN, and DNS.
• Proficient operating in a VMware based infrastructure, database, middleware technologies, networking

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Open Shift, Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker
  Basic networking fundamentals, Cluster Resource management including monitoring systems, logging and security implementation
  Experience in Source control using tools such as Git with DevOps and IT automation concepts.
  Certified in Redhat OCP Admin ( Preferable)
• Red Hat, AWS, Azure, Google or IBM Cloud Certified Architect certification
  Maven and Jenkins
  Puppet, Chef, or Ansible by Red Hat
  Bitbucket and Git (GitHub or GitLab)
