IBM Hiring for Package Consultant: SAP SCM GTS at Kolkata, India Full Time

Your Role and Responsibilities

As Package Specialist – SAP Global Trading Services (GTS), you are responsible to assist clients in the selection, implementation, and support the solutions. You will lead multiple sized projects as team member or lead to implement new functionalities and improve existing functionalities including articulating, analyzing requirements and translating them into effective solutions

What you will do:

• Identify and resolve integration issues between SAP ERP, SAP GTS and non- SAP systems by working with Business Partners

• Design and support experience with SAP GTS interfaces from data providers – denied parties, HTS content

• Configuration experience in SAP ECC Sales & Distribution along with GTS table structures, data elements/fields, & table inter-dependencies

• Gather and translate business requirements into detailed functional design specifications that include current and future state of business processes on assigned projects

• Support enhancement requests and resolve reported incidents within defined service level agreements

• Conduct working sessions with Subject Matter Experts to identify the required capabilities and impacts to configuration to support business requirements

• Translate user’s requests into application system solutions

• Analyze system user requirements to define and design system configuration, enhancements, and modifications while following design standards

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Minimum 6+ years of SAP functional experience specializing in design and configuration of SAP GTS modules

• Experience in gathering business requirements, providing conceptual and detailed designs to meet business needs

• Ability to perform necessary SAP configurations, writing detail specifications for development of custom programs, testing, co-ordination of transports to production and post go live support

• Proven expertise to create requirement specifications based on Architecture/Design/Detailing of Processes

• Demonstrated experience to utilize query and reporting tools to provide flexible and timely information to system users and perform data analysis to ensure data integrity

• Experience in performing project management functions on small to medium projects for the user groups including: coordinating, organizing, planning and scheduling, communicating, tracking accountability, ensuring documentation, monitoring and evaluating, problem solving and technical assistance

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Proven work experience on SAP Hana is desired

• Ability to participate in the creation and enforcement of IT software standards and procedures

• Experience in maintaining accuracy of help desk database of reported incidents and problems and the knowledge-base of corrective actions

• Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals.
