IBM Hiring for Security Specalist-WAF Admin at Mumbai, Maharashtra Full Time

Your Role and Responsibilities

As security Analyst, you are responsible for handling day to day operations of Security Device Management. You will responsible for providing network service request engineering support for Web Content Filtering/Proxy and Threat/Malware infrastructure.

Role and Responsibilities :–

Configure, deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Web Application Firewall solutions for new and existing web applications

Creates WAF rules/signatures to mitigate threats and implements best practices

Review vulnerabilities that impact web applications and develop WAF “Virtual Patching” solutions

Monitor and analyse activity logs to detect malicious internet traffic and indicators of compromise as well as to reduce false positive blocks

Review WAF usage and define means to improve and mature protection policies

Understand web applications at a sufficient level to work with developers to implement protective controls that may need to be customized for specific applications

Interpret web protocol information to determine the source, intent, and risk of threat agents

Provide preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and quickly resolve problems to ensure infrastructure and application stability

Create and maintain technical documentation regarding the WAF infrastructure including network diagrams, policies and operational procedures for managing the infrastructure

Work closely with Development, QA, Operations, InfoSec, and design engineers to ensure security requirements are met and web applications are adequately protected from cyber-attacks

Review vulnerability scan output and assess where WAF configuration can be used to mitigate attacks

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

3 years of Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Risk Management and/or Cyber Threat Intelligence

Extensive knowledge of web technologies and concepts

Good understanding of TCP/IP, web protocols and networking concepts

Prove experience in OWASP Risks, Vulnerabilities and Mitigation Mechanisms

Understanding of DDoS techniques and mitigation mechanisms

Worked on F5 WAF would be added advantage

Understanding of web application firewall tools, concepts, methodologies.

Good Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 Guidelines for application security.

Good documentation and process development skills.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

One or more security certifications: CEH, Security+, GSEC, GCIH, etc
