Your Role and Responsibilities
The IBM Unified Console team builds intuitive browser-based user experience following a containerized micro-service architecture for on-prem and cloud deployments running with tight security in orchestrated environments. The consoles are architected using modern technologies, and the team adopts a blend of agile and traditional methodologies to deliver with speed and quality.

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be responsible for setting and maintaining the end-to-end quality standards for the consoles. The job duties and responsibilities are as follows

• Devise the test plans based on the feature/product specification
• Ensure functional, regression and performance standards are set and met for the products.
• Maintain high efficiency in test execution by focusing on automation
• Set and maintain code coverage goals
• Provide technical content and review documentation
• Represent quality posture in release go/no-go discussion
• Lead the implementation with emphasis on good coding practices and high-quality standards
• Communicate effectively to drive technical leadership within teams, roadmap discussions with stakeholders, and successful engagement with customers.
• Engage with customers to ensure successful adoption of the console and the underlying database engines.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 8 years Experience in conducting end-to-end testing covering install/deployment/uninstall, upgrade, functional, regression, and performance
• Experience in test automation and creating repeatable, maintainable, automated test suites
• Hands-on experience with one or more automation tools like Selenium, Puppeteer, Cucumber etc.
• Hands-on experience with Shell scripting and SQL
• Familiarity with code coverage tools and process
• Strong oral and written communication, and presentation skills
• Clear, logical, analytical and methodical approach to problem-solving

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Awareness of UI and REST APIs
• Familiarity with methodologies for improving Quality standards and automation
• Media skills to create content – videos, blogs, technical documentation
• Experience with relational databases – SQL, database administration and monitoring
