Your Role and Responsibilities
In the role of Sr. Cloud Automation Developer, you would be responsible for Designing and development of Cloud automation and Automation Framework for IBM FlashSystem family of storage products, IBM Software Defined Storage portfolio on Public Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud
Responsibilities:
You will be owning and driving product functionality as SME and represent it in global product team. The individual will be responsible for Designing and development of Cloud automation and Automation Framework for IBM FlashSystem family of storage products, IBM Software Defined Storage portfolio on Public Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud

You will work with the senior technical leaders and manager in effectively managing the deliverables through his technical skills and prior experience.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 6 – 14 years of industry experience in Designing and developing of Cloud Automation and Test Automation Frameworks with preferred experience in automation in various cloud environments, multi cloud environment (Private, Public, Multi-Cloud) (AWS/Azure/Google/IBM)
• Proven knowledge of Automation development process & tools for product development/debugging using Python, Perl, Shell scripting.
• Cloud Automation for various cloud ops
• Test automation and harness design and development
• CI/CD pipeline to automate software delivery process (code builds, automated tests, and deploying to a staging environment)
• Jenkins, Jira, Github Integration aspects
• Good understanding of Virtualization (KVM, VMWare), Container technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker)
• Good understanding of Cloud virtual networking internals, Cloud networking technologies (vnet/VPC, loadbalancers, Network peering)
• Good understanding of Hybrid cloud networking considerations: IPSec, VPNs, Site-to-site VPNs, Firewalls, Gateways
• Proven Cloud domain knowledge with hands-on experience on Azure, AWS Storage/Compute technologies (AWS S3/Azure Blob,AWS EBS/Azure mDisk, AWS EC2/Azure VM, and associated integration SDKs , APIs, CLIs in respective clouds)
• Proven Cloud automation skills and building, packaging, publishing of machine images in cloud (AWS AMI, Azure ARM Templates‪)
• Good problem-solving skills for complex issues with interdependencies across multiple modules
• Ability to crisply communicate with stake holders (clients and level 3 support teams) for resolving field issues.
• Knowledge and hand-on usage of code and defect management tools.
• Ability to meticulously plan and detail test executions and identifying dependencies.
• Good written/verbal communication skills to report program status crisply and accurately.
• Experience working with Global teams.
• Good technical leadership skills to mentor new team members.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Understanding of storage technologies (Replication , Virtualization, RAID, Block/File IO , compression , encryption ), SAN fabrics, block storage technologies
• Exposure to Open Source Cloud/Test Automation Frameworks
• Exposure to IP storage protocols (iSCSI, NVMe over Fabrics, RDMA) or Fibre Channel ( FCP)
• Familiarity with protocol analyzers, IO exercisers, IO jammers and performance tools
