Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Cloud development engineer for zHybrid Cloud Development team you will be

• Responsible for Virtual Servers Development & innovation in IBM Public Cloud offerings
• Building software necessary to ensure that the Services are available 24×7. Apply Design Thinking & Agile practices in product development and deliver quality products for IBM Cloud Business.
• Good understanding of Cloud development and automation framework, applying the skill into the product to deliver good quality product.
• Interact with other developers both inside and outside of IBM to solve problems that may arise.
• Work directly with clients trying to build out secure cloud native applications.
• Develop and cultivate client relationships for the long term. Leverage IBM as a global company to achieve business objectives.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 10 + years of industry experience
• Golang, node js, Postgres, networking like SSL, load balancers, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Dockers skills
• Virtualization- Container runtimes, libvert, KVM/Qemu virtualization, emulators
• Python Experience (for Ansible Modules)
• General Rest APIs
• Integration with other Cloud Services (COS, ICD, IKS, ROKS)
• Experience in DevOps practices and tools
• Proven communication skills and be able to work effectively in a global team environment.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Work in collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies
• Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work
• Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management
• Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
• Ready to pick up additional skills based on business requirements.

Any of the following are a plus:

• Cloud processes (RMC, Service Framework, Estado, BSS, AccessHub, ServiceNow)
• Corporate processes (PSIRTS, SPbD, Controls for all the different audits and how we meet them, AVT/GVT/TVT)
• IBM Cloud implementations of core technologies (SSL Certificates, Cloud Service Endpoints, Certificate Management, Cloudant, ICD Postgres, VPC, VPE, Hyperwarp, IAM, micro-services)
• Z Systems experience and exposure to Catalog Services, Micro Services.
• Prior experience / exposure to Storage, Networking would be an added advantage.
