Your Role and Responsibilities

• Implementing fixes, updates and total rebuilds of ZaaS infrastructure that is part of the IBM Cloud offering of Z based services
• You will be designing, developing, and owning different tooling and automation to improve availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of highly secure, confidential computing cloud services.
• Partner with various teams across ZaaS & Cloud organizations
• Learn concepts quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Work independently on JIRA tickets submitted by various teams to address an issue or solve a problem
• Participate in daily scrum meetings

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience using Linux, GitHub, Bash, Python, Node.js, Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansibles
• Team player who can work collaboratively, innovate, and be a quick learner
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in SW Development
• Strong technical & communication skills
• Experience in working in a Cloud environment with cross functional & matrix teams
• Leverage latest Tools and reporting in Jira, Aha! and Github to drive visibility to leadership team and dependent stakeholders.
• Excel in a fast-paced work environment
• Flexibility on job assignments
• Proficient in cloud computing and services, specifically logging and monitoring
• Strong debugging, problem determination, and isolation skill
• Effectively communicate with global, cross functional teams and customers

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• 4+ years of experience managing cloud-based services and data centers
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the relative field
• Extensive knowledge of Cloud Technologies, Kubernetes, Storage, and Networking
