We are now seeking a highly motivated and results driven individual to join our growing Demand Planning team asDemand Planner.
Your Focus
As Demand Planner, you will work closely with the Key Account Managers and the leadership of the South Asia Commercial team to assure customer demand and trends are accurately and timely communicated to the organization.
The role is Mumbai based and will report to Lead Commercial Manager.
How You Will Contribute
Accountable for understanding all sources of demand for within the India and Indian Sub-continent regions.
Develop an accurate demand forecast at the appropriate levels, horizons, and intervals.
Support the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, working closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Service and Product Line Managers.
Be an advocate of demand principle to the Business Unit and Sales organizations.
Accountable for the Demand process and continually improving output, accuracy and bias using MyBIS reporting.
Review Statistical run and sets statistical profiles (Single Exponential Smoothening or Naïve Forecast), including the setting of Seasonality Indexes.
Applies the differentiation tools in MyBIS, Data Mart to determine which Characteristic Value Combinations (CVCs) to run on statistics (predictably) and Sales Manager Input.
Maintain the cleaned sales history by removing Outliners and is responsible for the maintenance CVCs in SAP_APO.
Validate and maintains Dollarization Indexes using the MyBIS Market intelligence price (MIP) tool.
Support the Demand Management to prepare (GAP) analysis, Price Volume Currency analysis; and captures action items.
Closely collaborate with the Key Account Managers to assure customer demand is accurately reflected to the organization.
Assure customer forecast data is entered into forecasting tools accurately and on-time.
Assume a key role in the development of the data and presentation material for monthly demand review process with divisional leadership.
Monitor and adjust as necessary forecast changes instituted by SDF to confirm accuracy to forecast inputs.
Interface with plant planners to communicate forecast changes and potential impact on customer forecast.
Collaborate with Customer Service to understand the cause and effect of order changes.
Develop working relationships with global peers to share best practices and dialogue on process improvements.
Become the regional Datamart subject matter expert and assist the regions commercial team in data usage.
Work directly with select customers to review forecast information and input into forecasting tools. Including communication with Account Manager to assure alignment and accuracy.
Lead forecast reviews in a one-on-one format with Account Managers.
Be aware of any technical issues associated with forecasting system and promptly communicate appropriately.

Job Requirements
What you will need to be successful
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or any other relevant discipline.
Atleast 10 years’ of experience in Supply Demand planning roles.
Open to meet customer as required.
Proven planning success, strong systems skills including Excel, Powerpoint.
Strong ability to manipulate and understand data including cause and effect critical reasoning.
Analytical and reporting skills with the ability to understand statistical forecasting models and algorithms.
Experience working with SAP and Business Warehouse is a plus.
Good experience in Project management.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multi-functional and cultural team environment.
Fluent in English and Hindi, other languages are a plus.
Customer focus, a proclivity to work closely with others on a frequent basis both internal and external. Highly collaborative and self-motivated.
Ability to embrace and drive change, with potential to grow in the role.
Domestic travel will be a component of the role in the range of 10 – 15% of time.
