IHS Markit Hiring for Research & Forecasting Analyst, Connected Car Hardware at Gurgaon, India Full Time

Your role

Are you passionate about the prospects of the Connected Car? Do you enjoy analyzing and assessing new technologies to support the industry in making key business decisions?

The Automotive Supply Chain and Technology team at IHS Markit is in search of a Connected Car Hardware Analyst with a technical background to:

• Support the development of forecasts for a variety of automotive technologies including displays, Virtual Personal Assistants, and operating systems while remaining conscious of other megatrends happening in the vehicle for example autonomy and electrification

• Maintain databases which track automotive technologies and supplier information while providing analysis and rationale to support the data

• Perform both primary research interviews with automotive industry contacts and secondary research utilizing internet resources, technical papers, brochures etc.

• Project work involvement, including cross-regional and cross-team projects as needed

• Comfortable interfacing with and supporting clients when questions arise relating to the datasets and questions around current and future market developments including developing and giving external industry presentations

  Your team

You will be working in the Automotive Supply Chain and Technology Team, a global team of over 100 analysts, based in Gurgaon/Bangalore

Your expertise

You have

• Working experience related to automotive technology at an OEM, supplier, or research firm

• In depth understanding of industry trends and how they may impact Connected Car and HMI technologies

• Proficiency with MS applications required (Excel, Word and PowerPoint); understanding of database mechanics helpful (e.g. Access, SQL)

• Competent analytical and data interpretation skills

• Comfortable in client interactions and in public speaking (e.g. webinars, etc.) in English

• Strong motivation and ability to self-organize to achieve difficult targets under tight time constraints

  You are

• Ideally 2+ years experienced at automotive suppliers/OEMs in the areas of Connected Car, in-vehicle HMI, or in-vehicle User Experience

• Ideally a degree-level qualified in Engineering. However, this is not essential if the above required skills are evident

• Fluent in English
