PrimeOne is a business unit that offers an end-to-end global prime brokerage technology and services platform. Supporting both buy and sell side clients, the PrimeOne offering is both unique and comprehensive, spanning both physical and synthetic prime brokerage, as well as the lucrative securities lending market. PrimeOne’s platform provides both new entrants and existing players in the prime sector advanced capabilities, which were previously achieved through proprietary development by a select group of bulge bracket institutions.

The team is split globally between New York, London and Mumbai

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced software developer to work on the LoanOne platform – A securities Lending trading and inventory management system. The LoanOne Platform works in tandem with FIS’s GlobalOne solution which has the largest user base for a securities lending within banks and financial institutions. The team also hosts and runs GlobalOne for clients and has several inhouse managed feeds to third parties such as BPS, settlement systems and trade and automation services such as Pirum and Equilend.

They will be responsible for implementing client and technology sponsored changes within LoanOne and our other securities lending feeds and solutions. These changes will vary in size from small tactical fixes to larger, system wide enhancements, new feeds and features

LoanOne is written in C# as a three-tier application and uses Sql Server for its database.

Duties & Accountabilities

• Development of Securities Lending applications and feeds
• Writing and performing unit test cases. Participate in code reviews.
• Participate in architecture and design meetings and actively work with London and New York teams on improving the propos/ed solution.
• Share the responsibility for meeting team objectives defined by the project.
• Able to communicate effectively with both internal parties and clients.
• Assist the senior staff in the preparation of estimates and plans.
• Assist in the investigation and resolution of system defects raised through the support desk, as needed and in a commercially timely manner.

Education & Experience

• Computer Science degree preferred with 5 year of relevant experience

Required Skills

• Detailed understanding of C# including Winforms. Ideally experience of .NET 4.0 (.NET core).
• Relational database programming experience in SQL Server or Sybase. Especially writing stored procedures and complex queries.
• Excellent understanding of OO concepts and database fundamentals
• Excellent understanding and use of design pattern such as GoF, MVC & MVP/
• Commercial experience performance tuning .NET applications and SQL
• Proven experience in programming multi-user and multi-threaded applications.
• Experience of either: Agile, Spiral, Waterfall or Iterative development methodologies
• Source control such as Subversion/Tortoise SVN or other source control systems such as Github or similar.
• Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written

Useful Skills

• Commercial experience of building or maintaining financial systems within a software house, hedge fund or banking environment.
• IBM MQ or MSMQ and asynchronous messaging concepts
• Experience of non-Windows environments such as Linux/ Unix
• Experience in Windows DevExpress Controls
• Experience in scheduling tools such as Jobscheduler /Autosys etc
• Cloud concepts & AWS
• Other .NET technology such as WPF, Remoting and WCF
• Web technologies such as HTML5 & Restful Webservices
• Experience of Continuous Integration tools, such as TeamCity and code analytic tools.
• Experience of creating designs, including the use of UML
