Job Description

IILM invites applications for the post of librarian IILM Lodhi Road, New Delhi. An ideal candidate should have minimum 10 years of experience in Government/Autonomous Organization/ University or recognized research institutes with proficiency in latest library tools and software.

Responsibilities

• The librarian will be responsible for the selection, acquisition, organization, accessibility and preservation of library.
• Responsible for cataloguing and maintaining accurate records of the collection as per domain
• Manage all digital components within the library and serve as the library system
• Administrator for integrated library software system. Reviews and evaluates all library digital collections and technologies, and recommends the purchase of new digital collections and technologies
• Recommends the removal of digital collections and technologies that no longer serve the needs of the community
• The digital librarian oversees all aspects of managing the library or collection website.
• Ensure that all information shared with users is properly licensed

Requirements

• PhD. with minimum 10 years of professional experience in a reputed library. experience in a library setting;
• A Master’s degree in library science from a recognized college or university
• Knowledge in operations of various library software programs
• Knowledge of trends and usages of technology within the library.
