Software Engineer- Big Data and BI reporting

Role Description:
We are looking for self-motivated Big data and BI Developer with expertise in Tableau & Informatica. As a software Developer, candidate is expected to understand a business problem, formulate possible approaches and design and then develop the solution for the problem in Tableau & Informatica.

Role and responsibilities
Translating product objectives into execution and delivery plan with milestones and resource needsTroubleshoot and identify performance, connectivity, and other issues for applications hosted in Azure, private cloud or on-site.Create and execute appropriate quality plans, project plans, test strategies and processes for development activities in concert with business and project management effortsPreparing the Design and work on Data Ingestion, Preparation and Transformation.Develop data streaming applications.Debugging the production failures and identifying the solution.Monitor Performance of the Jobs and tuning them as required.Write extensive Unit and Regression test casesEffectively communicate with team members, project managers and clients, as required.A proven high-performer and team-player, with the ability to take the lead on projects.Analyzing source system data and data flows, working with structured and unstructured data.Ability to write quality technical documentationA deep knowledge of Big Data, RDBMS and Data on cloud technologies. Should have designed and implemented enterprise-grade Data PlatformsAnalyzing and recommending new product capabilities on cloud environmentExperience in data warehouse design and best practicesExperience in creating a solution prototypeParticipating in technology selectionControlling solution developmentStrong understanding of Data Management concepts including data governance, data modeling, data lakes , data warehousing etc.
Technical skills requirements
The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in,
Hortonworks/Cloudera Hadoop Cluster Management, Configuration, and Administration.Must have experience with data ingestion tools Nifi, ETL process.Git and other source control systemsA solid grounding in Agile methodologies,leading design of Big Data solutions.Hadoop, including HDFS, Spark, Hive, Hbase,NoSQL databases,UNIX systems,Python scripting.Data Governance, Master Data ManagementSolid grounding in Agile methodologies
Manage Security authentication and authorization across all environments using Knox, Apache Ranger and Kerberos.
Cloud virtualization solutions (OpenStack, VMware)
Nice-to-have skills
Must have delivered one migration project from Hortonworks (on-premises) to Azure (HDInsight’s)Experience with UNIX would be good to have.Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate would be a big plus.Certification on Hortonworks Hadoop distributions platform would be a big plusPlatform Enhancements & Define the platform architecture roadmapStrong organizational skills, with the ability to work autonomously as well as in a team-based environment.
Qualifications
2 to 4 years of work experience in systems or application developmentB.Tech/B.E/M.Tech or MCA degree from a reputed university. Computer Science background is preferred.
