Position Overview: Security Analyst

Our Information Security Analyst will help plan and carry out the organization’s information security strategy. They develop a set of security standards and best practices for the organization and recommend security enhancements to management as needed. They develop strategies to respond to and recover from a security breach. Information Security Engineers are also responsible for educating the workforce on information security through training and building awareness.

What you’ll do at Insight-

• Conducts periodic scans of networks to find any vulnerability.

• Conduct penetration testing, in which you’ll simulate an attack on the system to highlight or find any weaknesses that might be exploited by a maliciousparty.

• Monitors, tracks, analyzes and records incidents to ensure protection from any potential leaks of malicious activity

• Monitors, configures, and responds to Security alerts.

• Maintains vulnerability management systems to aid in risk assessments and works with departments to ensure timely remediation of issues andvulnerabilities.

• Manages Internet and Intranet security-based issues by performing firewall policy audits and reviewing security logs.

• Use current DLP technology to help monitor, track and analyze records and incidents to ensure protection from any potential leaks or malicious activity

What You’ll Need to Join Insight –

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field or equivalent demonstrated experience

• 3-5 years’ experience as a Security/Network Administrator or equivalent knowledge.

• CompTIA Network+ preferred

• Familiarity or previous experience with IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, firewalls, vulnerability management systems, and endpoint security products

• Familiarity or previous experience with IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, firewalls, vulnerability management systems, and endpoint security products

• Knowledge at the intermediate-expert level of current security risks, threats and vulnerabilities.

• Experience facilitating SOX, SOC, PCI and ISO27001 audits

• Knowledge of security concepts such as cyber-attacks and techniques, threat vectors, risk management, incident management etc.

• Knowledge of various operating system flavors including but not limited to Windows, Linux, Unix.

• Knowledge of applications, databases, middleware to address security threats against the same.

• Knowledge of various security methodologies and processes, and technical security solutions (firewall and intrusion detection systems).

• Knowledge of TCP/IP Protocols, network analysis, and network/security applications.

• Knowledge of common Internet protocols and applications.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
