International SOS Looking For Head of I&A (Geo-politics and International Relations) at Noida, Uttar Pradesh, Full Time

A. Overall Purpose Of The Job:

The Head of Information & Analysis, Asia (I&A), Asia is the senior dedicated security I&A leader responsible for directing and leading the security I&A team for Asia, in line with the direction set by the Regional Security Director and in alignment with the global standards, procedures and priorities set by the Security Director, I&A (Worldwide).

The Head of Information & Analysis, Asia oversees & manage –

• The security I&A function in Asia and is responsible for the professional leadership and ongoing development of the regional security I&A professionals and also provide professional guidance and support to the identification and recruitment of security I&A professionals in region.
• The delivery of market-leading, audience-centric security I&A content across the spectrum of high-priority threat to life alerts through to long-term forecasting & analysis. The analytical position of the regional I&A teams will directly inform incident management, advisory and crisis response services delivered to individual clients throughout the region.
• A team of Lead Security Analysts and Security Specialists, I&A and be responsible for ensuring client and internal situational awareness of regional security events and the corresponding outlook and advice, in addition to ensuring the conclusions from this are factored into internal operational planning and decision-making in both business as usual and crisis scenarios, in conjunction with the Security Director, Assistance Asia.
• Close collaboration with the relevant Content Services business unit leadership personnel from the Medical I&A, Content Operations, Research, Multimedia & Editorial teams, in both crisis and business as usual phases, ensuring the highest standards of security I&A service delivery.

B. Key Responsibilities

Core Client & Internal Support:

• Oversee and own regional security I&A output, inclusive of analytical line, advice and outlook, in internal and external deliverables, including individual client requests for assistance.
• Directly inform planning led by the Head of Security, Assistance Asia on International SOS’ regional operational preparedness within Asia.
• Responsible for resource allocation in line with agreed global and regional priorities across all levels of the regional intelligence cycle, including direction, overseeing collection, processing, analysis and dissemination, personally leading where required.
• Oversee the Priority Information Requirements and I&A components of risk assessments for the deployment of Incident Management Team(s) to provide on-the-ground support to clients or regional assistance. Ensure implementation of the Global Quality Management Program across regional I&A output, and that all standards are met in internal documentation and process
• Define and drive regional collective training, performance management and development of I&A team members, ensuring quality improvement initiatives are implemented through review and training.
• Ensure the Security I&A team is given appropriate I&A direction for Asia on a standing and dynamic basis in line with regional and global priorities.
• Ensure the local security team has appropriate numbers and diversity of security I&A sources for I&A output, case management, and developing action plans for the business where appropriate.
• Oversee professional feedback to Lead Security Analysts & Security Specialists, I&A for deliverables relating to Asia, building both I&A and risk management best practice in addition to subject matter knowledge of Asia in the team.
• Collaborate with relevant senior stakeholders in the Aviation & Maritime, Medical I&A, Research, Multimedia and Editorial teams, in addition to global and regional security leadership to ensure excellent I&A output and operational planning, in addition to overall economy of effort and efficiency.
• Direct the maintenance of client facing digital security background information, ensuring it is up to date, compliant with group standards, and reflective of the current security environment.
• Under global guidance, contribute to ensuring International SOS has best-in-class security I&A capabilities by leading projects relating to functional enhancements, such as analytical techniques and information collection tools, including those with specific relevance to Asia.
• As required travel to countries in Asia to assess the current security situation, local I&A provider capabilities and expand the existing network of security intelligence and assistance contacts to further support clients and aid operational planning.
• Participation in the regional security on-call roster as required.

Consulting Delivery & Sales, Marketing Support

• As required, deliver safety and security trainings and workshops for senior audiences – especially those focused on Asia – as well as engage in client specific security intelligence consultancy tasks as required.
• Support the Sales and Marketing teams in the articulation of International SOS’ services and in providing senior functional expertise in Asia client facing forums, including live and recorded webinars.

Leadership:

• Direct business as usual as well as crisis regional security I&A delivery.
• Deliver supervision and guidance to all regional security I&A staff, including 24/7 escalation support to the security desks.
• Professional management including career development and succession planning of Lead Security Analysts and Security Specialists, I&A.
• Build and maintain operational and commercial relationships across the International SOS business
• Manage the strategic regional relationships with third party security I&A contacts.

C. Job Profile

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Extremely strong knowledge of the political and security landscape within Asia, knowledge of the security risk management best practices and principals across a diversity of risk environments, supported by in-country experience in challenging/hostile environments.
• Knowledge of directing and managing all stages of intelligence cycle including multi-source direction and collection.
• Knowledge of planning and managing complex security assistance operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to explain complex situations and advice to non-expert audiences in English.
• In-depth ability to critically analyse multiple streams of security, logistics and threat-based information under time pressure and produce actionable analysis and advice for senior audiences.
• Ability to work and manage effectively in a cross-cultural, cross functional, global, matrixed business.
• Knowledge of and experience in managing all stages of an operational intelligence cycle.
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office Suite and other applications.

Required Work Experience

• Typically, at least 10+ years’ experience in security I&A delivery, managing an all-source intelligence cycle, with a focus on Asia, including deployed experience in hostile and/or challenging environments in military, government, NGO, journalism, academic or private sector roles in Asia.
• Demonstrated high-level analytical skills and practical application.
• Experience in planning complex security assistance operations.
• Extensive experience in writing to c-suite, senior management and decision-makers and working internationally and managing cross-culturally.
• Extensive public speaking and training delivery experience.
• Business development, consultancy, and sales experience.
• Experience in conducting profile specific security risk assessments.
• Quality management experience.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a field related to security intelligence, international politics, international relations or similar.

Required Languages

• Excellent spoken and written English language.
• Other Asian language proficiency desirable.

Travel / Rotation Requirements

• Some travel, sometimes on urgent request.
• Occasional evening/weekend work based on operational requirements.
