Invent Controls Private Hiring for Senior Electrical Design Engineer at Ambattur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India Full Time

• Design and develop electrical control panels and automation panels based on project specifications and customer requirements.
• Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN).
• Select appropriate electrical components, such as circuit breakers, relays, PLCs, HMIs, and motor drives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC).
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical support during the manufacturing and installation phases.
• Collaborate with project managers, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during testing and commissioning.
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including design calculations, bill of materials (BOM), and test procedures.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical design and automation technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design, specifically in panel board and automation panel design.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, EPLAN) for electrical design.
• Strong understanding of electrical standards and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC).
• Experience with PLC programming and HMI design is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Project management experience is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with various automation systems and industrial control technologies.
• Knowledge of safety standards and practices in electrical design.
• Familiarity with electrical simulation software.

Working Conditions:

• Office-based role with occasional visits to manufacturing sites and client locations.
• May require occasional travel for project meetings and site inspections.
