The Isle of Wight Education Federation – Executive Headteacher: Matthew Parr-Burman
The Governing Board of the Isle of Wight Education Federation is seeking to appoint a Federation Cleaning Manager to lead a team of cleaners ensuring high standards of cleaning on the college sites. The post-holder will be responsible for locking up and setting alarm systems. There will also be a requirement for a certain amount of overtime working, usually for parent / open evenings, or hired events.
The Isle of Wight Education Federation has been established to harness the very best education practice within two secondary schools and a large A Level sixth-form centre of almost 500 students. The aim is to create a culture of continual improvement with increasingly successful outcomes for young people across the Island.
The Federation comprises of Carisbrooke College, Medina College and The Island VI Form and candidates should therefore be prepared to work across the three sites, as necessary.

This role falls within the strategic partnership between the Isle of Wight Council and Hampshire County Council. The employer will be the Isle of Wight Council and employment is on Isle of Wight terms and conditions. Hampshire County Council has delivered, on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council, all of its children’s services functions and will continue to do so until 2023. The original five-year partnership arrangement under direction of the Secretary of State finished in 2018 but has been extended voluntarily by both local authorities for a further five years
The management reporting line for this role is ultimately through Hampshire County Council Children’s Services Director/Assistant Director and managers who take operational responsibility for children’s services.
