Role Summary

The Government Partnerships and Expansion Manager (GPM) will represent iTeach at all levels in the government. GPM will be responsible for all the government-related work on behalf of iTeach through managing the Government Relations Associates. Identifying the requirements, understanding the procedures involved, planning of work, regular follow-up with different government offices, and planning for next steps would be the broad areas of work. The GPM will also be responsible for spearheading iTeach expansion to other Municipal Corporations (MC).

Major Responsibilities:
A: Government Liasioning and Compliance:
Identify, build and maintain significant stakeholders to further iTeach Government Relations through Government Relations Associates.

Ensuring all iTeach Schools are compliant as per government regulations and laws.

Maintain a strong presence of iTeach Schools so that we are seen as the best non-profit operating schools.

B: Strategy:
Evolve a three to five-year strategy for the Government Partnerships and Expansion Vertical.

Develop an annual implementation plan for this strategy, including any budget requirements.

C: Expansion Responsibilities:
Spearhead expansion for iTeach in 5 different MCs along with the COO.

Strategize, design, and implement expansion plans for iTeach towards meeting its 2025 expansion goals.

Work on Education Landscape Research, field visits, identifying & meeting key stakeholders and influential people/partners, acquiring sites, permissions, set up operations in new MC.

Design and implement strategies to secure Government funding for iTeach Schools.

Qualification and Competencies:

Strong focus on delivery and results with high drive and energy.

Strong communication, presentation, and convincing skills. Excellent interpersonal, influencing, coaching, and leadership skills.

Experience in a dynamic environment (e.g. undergoing change, start-up) desirable – experience as a change agent.

Experience or willingness to work on strategic work.

Willing to travel within Pune and other MCs.

University graduate or above.

Minimum 4 years experience in the Social sector with no less than 2 year in a position with people management responsibilities.

Comfortable in reading, writing, and typing in Marathi and English.

Location: Base location, Pune with a willingness to travel to different MCs (Municipal Corporations).
