Job Description: 
Faculty responsibilities are typically divided between teaching, research, and service. The teaching responsibilities are the most visible: learning the material, keeping up to date with current advances in both research and pedagogy, choosing an appropriate material, preparing lectures, supervising teaching assistants, grading, etc.
Key roles and responsibilities
Teach courses in their subject area and work with students who are studying a degree or taking classes to improve their knowledge or career skills.
Develop an instructional plan (known as a course outline or syllabus) for the courses they teach and ensure that it meets university and department standards.
Plan lessons and assignments and work with colleagues to develop or modify the curriculum for a degree or certificate program involving a series of courses.
To lead the development and implementation of the universitys research strategy and coordinate research activity within the specific subject area.
Assess students progress by grading test papers, bluebooks and advise students about which classes to take and how to achieve their goals.
Stay informed about changes & innovations in their field and conduct research and experiments to advance knowledge in their field.
To oversee the design and development of the overall curricula, and develop and deliver a range of programs of study (sometimes for entirely new courses) at various levels.
Publish original research and analysis in books and academic journals and serve on academic and administrative committees that review and recommend policies, make budget decisions, or advise on hiring and promotions within their department.
Supervise student projects, field trips and, where appropriate, placements, lead and coordinate research activity in the subject including determining relevant research objectives and preparing research proposals.
Make presentations at national and international conferences and similar events and carry out independent research and act as principal investigator and project leader.
Should contribute to publications or disseminate research findings using other appropriate media and seek practical application of research findings.
They should carry out independent research and act as principal investigator and project leader and also as a referee and contribute to peer assessment.
To plan and deliver research, consultancy or similar programs and ensure that resources are available.
Writing up research results in papers and submitting these papers for publication and textbooks or monographs that can be used by other researchers or in graduate courses.
Submitting grant applications to support their research, and administering grants (e.g., working with budgets, submitting reports) that have been awarded.

Functional Area: 
Engineering

We are looking for Academic leaders who will be part of School of Engineering and Technology in the Department of Computing Sciences- Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep learning, Cyber Security, Cloud Technology, Internet of Things, Full Stack Development

An ideal candidate will have the below mentioned credentials and skills

Professor:
A. Ph. D. Degree in relevant field and First class or equivalent at either Bachelors or Masters level
In the relevant branch.
AND
B. Minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching / research / industry out of which at least 3 years
Shall be at a post equivalent to that of an Associate Professor.
AND
C. At least 6 research publications at the level of Associate Professor in SCI journals / UGC / AICTE approved list of journals and at least 2 successful Ph.D. Guided as Supervisor / Co supervisor till the date of eligibility of promotion.
OR
At least 10 research publications at the level of Associate Professor in SCI journals / UGC / AICTE approved list of journals till the date of eligibility of promotion.

Associate Professor:
A.Ph.D. Degree in the relevant field and First class or equivalent at either Bachelors or Masters
Level in the relevant branch
AND
B. At least total 6 research publications in SCI journals / UGC / AICTE approved list of journals.
AND
C. Minimum of 8 years of experience in teaching / research / industry out of which at least 2 years
Shall be Post Ph.D. Experience

Assistant Professor:
B. E. / B. Tech. / B. S. And M. E. / M. Tech. / M. S. Or Integrated M. Tech. In relevant branch with first class or equivalent in any one of the degrees.
JU Requirement Ph.D is mandatory

Good to have:
1)Exposure of working closely on Research Funded Projects, Consultancy assignments, Patents publications and other Research activities (as we are a Research Intensive University.)
2) Ability to strategically introduce and run new programs, curate curriculum and design the frameworks according to NEP 2020. (Inter disciplinary as well as trans disciplinary)
3) Proven record of strategizing admission process and managing the student life cycle in a University set up
4) Hands on experience in people management- (for Professor role)
5)Supervised PhD students (or multiple students) who are working on their doctorate degree. This involves guiding the students’ research, helping them with their work, and teaching them to be doctorate holder. (Professor role)
6) Good to have experience in supervising Post Doctoral Researchers.
