Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Director, Regulatory Affairs Policy, located in Singapore.
Serves as the Johnson & Johnson MedTech Regulatory Affairs policy leader monitoring the Asia-Pacific regulatory landscape to craft regulatory requirements and opportunities. Communicates multifaceted regulatory information to and collaborates with the Global Regulatory Affairs Policy team.
Key Responsibilities:
Serves as primary ASPAC regulatory affairs policy authority and the principal MedTech RA policy leader shaping and implementing the fast paced and changing regulatory landscape in Asia Pacific including two of the most meaningful markets, China and Japan, to Johnson & Johnson
Proactively monitors ASPAC regulatory authorities’ activity through detailed review of emerging regulatory requirements.
Identifies, cultivates, and nurtures relationships with ASPAC regulatory authorities vital to proactively monitor regulatory changes and trends.
Assesses changes in ASPAC regulatory policy and analyzes impact on MedTech RA and business units
Provides timely information to Global Regulatory Policy teams on emerging requirements
Lead Johnson & Johnson and trade associations responses to proposed ASPAC regulatory changes.
The point of contact for emerging environmental, health and safety requirements in ASPAC
Qualifications
Education:
Experience and Skills:
Required:
8 years of progressive experience in regulatory affairs, regulatory policy, public policy, or government relations within the medical devices or related (healthcare, pharmaceutical) industry.
Sophisticated communication and influencing skills including the ability to interact optimally with Senior Executives, all levels of government, global teams and internal and external policy collaborators
In-depth knowledge of regional regulatory requirements, processes, and Health Authorities across is required
In-depth understanding and experience on China and Asia Pacific regional regulatory issues
Experience in crafting healthcare policy in China and other Asia Pacific countries
Understanding Asia Pacific and country environment and culture
Good network and reputation within J&J organization and with regulator, industry associations and industry authorities
Critical thinker with a global perspective
Leadership, collaboration, and teammate.
Capable of influencing external industry peers in building consensus for regulatory policy.
A person with high ethical standards and integrity.
