General Summary

The Sr. Analyst US Strategic Market Insights is responsible for annual forecasting and analytics, quarterly competitive market share reporting, and market analytics focused on NPI/procedure/competitor performance. The position will support the Ethicon Franchise, serving as a key partner for the dedicated US Strategic Insights (SI) platform leads. The role will work with platform teams to support market insights, market share, market sizing, procedure analysis, and forecasting across platforms. The role will require a high degree of business acumen and understanding of key questions to be answered; must be able to proactively recommend tools and techniques to support appropriate analytics and reporting package/visualizations. With oversight, the position will have responsibility for executing strategic and tactical marketplace insight projects and activities.

Required Responsibilities :

• Lead annual forecast model development & maintenance (3x/year), consolidating Platform views and creating reports for Sr. leadership that provide insights into key market and sales drivers.

• Maintain and refresh market and share data integration processes and will be responsible for quality control, data validation, data coding, IT relationship management, and enhancing process efficiency.

• Responsible for report development such as quarterly market and share with a focus on business performance and implications.

• Work cross-functionally with Finance & Marketing to define, deploy and direct robust and effective market analytics, delivery, and execution.

• Support the creation and execution of high-impact tactical analytics related, but not limited to, NPI performance, competition risk and opportunities, and surgical procedure trends across various clinical settings.

• Flawless execution of all insight activities required to drive the success of the business and pipeline.

• Proactively providing fact-based insights and analytics to address specific business needs.

• Provide mid-to-long range forecasting of key platform markets and share.

• Partner with reporting and consolidations teams to create and maintain best-in-class analytical and marketplace assessment and reporting practices.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• A minimum of a BS or BA Degree is required. An MBA or MS Degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in data analytics, forecasting, strategic insights, business intelligence, strategic forecasting, or a related field is required.

• Experience in the medical device, hospital specialty, or healthcare field is preferred but not required

• Proven track record of working in a matrix environment where a high degree of collaboration and influence is required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint is required.

• Proficiency in other analytical tools (Qlik, SAS or Tableau) is preferred.

• Location availability in Pune, India.
