The team supports the Markets and Asset Servicing line of business by providing data-driven solutions and automation. The IB Digital Automation team is comprised of 4 main pillars: 1. Data Quality 2. Data Analytics and Storytelling (Data Visualization) 3. Metrics & Reporting. 4) Process Automation. The team partners on strategic programs across Operations, Technology, Middle Office, Finance/Accounting, Compliance, Controls, and more to manage builds, produce metrics/ KPI’s, and analyze/propose business cases for senior management based off of analysis and data. The team also uses Business Intelligence tools i.e. Alteryx, UIPath, Tableau to drive automation initiatives, and ensure data is properly managed end-to-end. The role requires a blend of project management, process improvement and data analysis and can be tailored to an individual’s preferences and skillset. Role Description: As a member of the IB Digital Automation team you will have the opportunity to identify and drive a variety of data driven solutions. There is a large and diverse backlog of work that will ensure engagement and gaining exposure to the development skills they are looking to grow. Some examples include: • Partnering with the manager to identify and drive strategic initiatives that deliver solutions both using and with-in data. •Opportunities to create business cases based off discoveries and present / lead strategic initiatives individually. This involves: Analyzing data, performing data deep dives, performing root cause analysis, coordinating between operations and technology, engaging SME’s, creating metrics, and reporting etc. • Provide data intelligence to senior management through data mapping, analysis, etc. for potential Business cases. (Ex: use cases for machine learning &artificial intelligence, system consolidation opportunities, creating data lakes to centralize & harmonize data, impact analysis, etc.) • Use of Analytics tools to drive change via data Automation, harmonization, transformation, and visualization (Alteryx/Xceptor, Tableau/QlikView, etc.) • Exposure to Robotics projects via UiPath, etc. and AI/ML projects via OWL, Natural Language Processing via Instabasee, etc. The initiative Administrator will provide the pillars and all working group members structure and organization to move all initiatives to successful delivery. This role will entail following up with the pillar leads for defined deliverables needed to ensure objectives outlined in the approved charters remain in focus. All deliverables will need to be to the same level of detail and quality to ensure consistency. This individual will be included in strategic planning for the initiative as well as pillar projects to review for completeness and the opportunity for innovation is realized. As this initiative grows in strength and size, this role will too. The visibility into all deliverables will enable successful delivery of the strategic mission which has a long-term goal of taking SSO to the third horizon. Skills to develop The Analyst will be given the opportunity to assess new initiatives and drive projects through completion using data analytics. They will become experienced with Project Management techniques and best practices and gain exposure to common PM tools/technologies while developing an understanding of project lifecycles, etc. They will have the opportunity to improve their communication and presentation skills by running working groups and providing status updates / reporting to various levels of management. Project opportunities vary and offer exposure to learn tools and deliver solutions that leverage a form of AI / ML such as natural language processing, OWL, UiPath, Instabase, etc. as well as partnership with automation experts to build solutions through fintech tools such as Alteryx, Tableau/Qlikview, and more if desired. Most projects will involve data and the Analyst will learn how to analyze data sets, map out logical data models, and ultimately how to leverage data to create business cases for projects based off data driven decisions, impact analysis, etc. if desired as well.
